Hey wanted to share some insight on a company by the name of Preston Lord Enterprises. You may or may not be familiar with. But basically arrives to you as a envelope in mail.

With some too good to be true offer that they swear up and down by. Don't believe and buy into it. I was a victim of they're work. At the time I was desperate, and when I went online googled their name.

Under the BBB I saw only good things about them and said hey what the heck, let me give this a try. So sorry I did. When I researched them again I saw that supposedly they are tied to a former company by the name of Maxwell Gates Ent.

In conclusion I believe them to be a sort of cover-up organization posing as a legit reputable company. I feel worst in the end and looking for repentance. Please be aware if you see anything in the mail as such.

Debra,

I also received a letter from Preston Lord Ent. about creating booklets.  I'm one of those people that have been scammed, and like everyone, VERY LEERY.

I always check to see if there is anything to be leery of, especially when something is way to good to be true.  I found this site, and read all the rebuttals, and I mean all of them.

I'm sorry Debra, but I have to agree with everyone...but you are rude, very rude to the point that is beyond words.  I wondered why you were the only one on here standing up for Preston Lord Enterprises.

So I checked their website.  Their are 7 people who have posted their comments about Preston Lord, only 2 men were beaming about how wonderful the company is.  Everyone else called it a scam.  Also, they all have their pictures posted on the website. Something I discovered while on the website; you're not there, you're also not in the circles attched to these people.  WHY!  here you are defiantly defending the company, but not once have you posted anything on their website defending it.

So, I have come to the conclusion that the 2 men, and yourself created the company, and are the scammers.

So, Debra I don't consider myself or anyone a loser here, only yourself.  I feel sorry for you that you have to lower youself to scum level and try to take advantage of people who are trying to make ends meat.

You're the real loser.

My father recieved a letter in the mail from (Preston Lord Enterprise) and asked me to investigate the company for him.and after looking at several websites and investigating the company I advised him not to invest hi time or money in the company and wanted to share the same advice that i gave him and a little more for you fellow consumers. First , 5 questions to ask the company or yourself  that reveal a con.

1) How did you get my name and information? If you fail to get a believable answer you can assume it was from the phone book , internet , as or from athird party that already purchased your information which suggests a randomness in the selection of your name that should make you suspicious.

2) What risk is involved? You should know that every investment carries with it some risk and a 100% percentfully guareenteed deal does not exist.

3) Can you send me written information? Scamsters would rather hang up on you , or give you a phone number where they cant be reached and risk losing you than put something in writing.

4) Will you explain your offering to my lawyer? You will most likely be told there isn't time or the person you are speaking with will ask for your lawyers address and never send anything.

5) Can you give me any type of fefrences? Follow up on, if any, refererances that you are given.

TIP 1 : Write down the answers you recieve , they may amaze you.    For anyone who has sent this company money and not recieved the products or payment for work as promised : First file a complaint with th FTC (NOT THE BBB).  Second ( If you want to take it to the next level) Put any corresponce sent to you from the company in a ziplock bag , (Take note of anyone you know that handled it) then take it to a local fingerprinting company so the individual that sent it can be charged with Federal Felony Mail Fraud.

(For Debra C.) If you really have an I.Q. of 153 then you already know that on this website alone you are setting yourself up for multiple maliscous slander lawsuits for seiously insulting the civilians and disabled veterans i have ready making comments on this website about the company you are supposedly (just) working for).   And for the consumers posting on this website , I know it can feel good to vent off some steam from the frustrations you are experiencing from this company , but you should leave all of the cussing and insulting to Debra C. because that individual is showing no class and no intelligence in her comments.

This is my first time making a comment concerning the scam of Preston Lord Ent. Many of you have a concern pertaining this matter. But some of you can only find it necessary to slam someone who is not in agreement with you. I was under the impression that this site was to help people make informed decisions. I too received one of the letters. Because I am a senior it is very hard to find a job that will fit around my 9 year old schedule (special needs). Constantly going to the doctors I am sure you understand. But I have found only a few comments to be useful, attacking someone who feels that it is a good business and not a scam does not warrant comments about their IQ or the type of job that may or may not have. There are two things that I have found to be true. One is that the Internet as much as I like having information at the tips of my fingers, can also be a place for false information. Second, to send a letter through the US Postal service that is a consumer falsehood is a federal crime (look it up). For those people who are looking for strong proof that a business or product is good or bad please stick to the facts and leave personal comments to yourself. After all if you want to warn someone about a business making personal attacks does nothing but make this site itself seem to be a big ripoff for good sound information. I hope this comment is taken in the spirit in which it is given. Sincerely Oh Boy

I rarely post on things, and had to create an account to do so here, but I too received one of the letters and decided I needed to add the truth to this argument. I did my research, and while their may be a small shred of truth to this "offer" their are far more untruths. Research is a huge part of me "day job" and this took me all of 5 minutes to crack open and no I am not repeating the rants of another poster but I call BS! Please take a moment to read the document I have provided a link for from the Office of the Attorney General of New Jersey http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/press/10072013.pdf and do the research yourself.

After reading this rebuttal I had to respond. I don't know Deb C or anything about the two companies she apparently works for but, the people here who say the pictured check is "obviously" fake because the routing number (003090) is only 6 digits are wrong. Anyone who has ever had checking account should be able to tell the routing number on the check is 031201360. Which is the valid routing number for TD bank within New Jersey. The 003090 corresponds with the check number 3090 in the upper right corner. Deb Carlucci I assume removed the account from the check before posting it (a good idea with all the scammers out there that would try to auto draft from the account if it was shown).

I just want to thank you Deb C for showing me the light. I will not be sending back the letter I received nor any money to Lord Enterprises. Because I don't want to be associated with any company that would employ such a rude, demeaning, goul-mouthed person as yourself! I will save myself my $99.00 and buy my family Christmas gifts with it. Lastly I want to say that for someone with a proclaimed IQ of 153 you have not put your gift to very good use. JMHO

First of all, the name of Preston Lords founder is actually "Preston Lord". Its his real name and he does NOT live here in NJ where the office was. The post below is incorrect, mentioning a NJ guy from a completely DIFFERENT company. This mistake is because of the BBB. They always do this. They are notorious for incorrectly cross referencing companies, listing two companies as being the same, when in reality they are completely unrelated. Get your facts straight before you post please. Preston Lord now lives in Greenwich, Connecticut. My experience working for him was quite positive. Far more satisfied customers than not.

#12Consumer Comment

Just to let everyone know, this is definately a scam and debra's check is fake.  I followed the link that was posted previously by a fellow consumer and pulled up the image of the check.  The check is from TD Bank routing number 003090 and the account number is 031201360.  Now I have worked in finance for years and one thing I noticed immediately without even doing any research was the routing number is not a valid routing number.  ALL US BANKS are assigned a routing number depending on their bank and what federal reserve district said bank is in. There are 12 districts.  The routing number identifies where the check originated from.  ALL ROUTING NUMBERS ARE 9 NUMBERS LONG and cover large areas.  check your checks at home.  Her routing number is only 6 numbers long.  she must have forgotten the other three when copying and pasting her check.

Government Action against the Company

#15General Comment

Wed, August 28, 2013

Just received a letter involving this scam and found the information about the government action that everyone should know about.

This also exposes the guys real name and where he can be found in Mendham, NJ.

Maybe a call to cousin Vinny or Frankie will do ther trick.

Government Actions

Gov. Action

Date of Action: 7/25/2011

March 2, 2011 NEWARK - The Office of the Attorney General and the Division of Consumer Affairs have filed suit against a Mendham-based work-at-home company and its principal, alleging that they defrauded consumers through offers to earn income by stuffing envelopes or assembling booklets.

The state's lawsuit is part of "Operation Empty Promises," a nationwide crackdown against work-at-home scams announced today. Operation Empty Promises is a multi-agency law enforcement initiative which includes ten FTC actions, forty-eight criminal actions by the Department of Justice (many of which involved the assistance of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service), seven additional civil actions by the Postal Inspection Service, and twenty-six actions by state law enforcement agencies.

The state's five-count Complaint, filed in State Superior Court in Essex County, alleges that David S. Brookman, 40, and his company, Capital Enterprises, Inc., violated the state Consumer Fraud Act and Advertising Regulations through bait-and-switch tactics in advertisements that stated consumers could earn "up to $5,000 or more weekly" by stuffing envelopes and mailing letters, and "$2,500 or more weekly" by assembling booklets. The state alleges that after consumers paid registration fees to Brookman and Capital Enterprises, defendants then changed the terms and conditions of their work-at-home programs to require additional undisclosed payments and fees. Capital Enterprises does business as Maxwell Scott Enterprises, Maxwell Scott, David Gates Enterprises, and Warner Daniel. The state's Complaint alleges that David Gates is an alias used by Brookman. The state is seeking restitution for consumers, along with imposition of civil penalties and reimbursement of attorneys' fees and costs and defendants' compliance with the state's consumer protection laws and regulations.

The lawsuit, which is being transferred to State Superior Court in Morris County, alleges that the defendants engaged in unconscionable commercial practices and used deception, false pretenses, false promises and misrepresentations to defraud consumers. The defendants allegedly also knowingly omitted material facts when soliciting consumers and engaged in bait-and-switch tactics. For example, the defendants allegedly failed to disclose to consumers prior to their payment of the registration fee for the booklet assembly work-at-home program that the stated income potential for assembling booklets only applied if the consumer, at his or her own expense, advertised and marketed the very booklets they were to assemble. Consumers can file complaints with the Division of Consumer Affairs by using the forms available at www.njconsumeraffairs.gov or by calling 1-800-242-5846 (toll-free within N.J.) or 973-504-6200.

I just got my package yesterday, and finished stuffing the envelopes. I paid the 139.00 and I got more 100 total. If you have seen the videos  that is pretty much it.  You are responsible for the postage  and you suppose to be reimbursed. You keep a copy and make sure your code is on everything  that goes in the enevelopes to be mailed out  or they want know who to give credit to.  You have to send out  everything you recieved in your package within 10 days to qualify for a check. you have the option not to buy anything else from them-you keep a copy of what you send out  and put your code on everything and go to a print shop make your own copies. It is a pain putting your code on everything before putting it in the envelope.   You can pay the company half of what you sent in originally for fresh supplies supposedly to the 9th week and that one suppose to be free. Although it is too early to tell,  I am going to stick it out  to see if I can make my money back.  You have to buy the address labels (no NJ or Florida) because the company has a contract. You can go on the internet and buy address labels. And the company says to be successful at it you at least have to mail 50-100  envelopes every week. You buy the copies, the envelopes, the address labels and the postage stamps. We suppose to be independent homeworkers who have to keep shelling out money. I will keep you updated and let you know if I make any money.

The first red flag that this is a scam  is that you can not talk directly to anyone in the "company"  They send a phone number you can contact but then state only current employees can speak to someone.  A reputable company would be available to answer questions before you make any kind of commitment or payment.  And a reputable company would also accept credit card payment which could be reversed if and when consumers found out the offer were fradulant.

The original letter they sent is vague at the least and misleading and or deceitful at worst and consumers should at a minimum be able to ask questions for to get clarity.  For one it  the header says FREE POSTAGE but later on it states that postage is reimbursable but if I get the kit to send out 49 letters and pay postage on 49 but only get 2 responses am I eating the postage on the other 47 letters?  Valid question isnt' it?  And if I send out 49 letters what percentage of people historically would respond 2%?  15%.  That is trend information that any company that is paying according to a "commision" structure like this business would be willing and able to share.

So Debra---I work in the tech industry and made over $90k last year and expect to make closer to $100k this  year so I am not sure that you can classify me as a "loser"  I have a beautiful home and want for nothing. I do have a hobby though of trying to expose a scam when I see one and this is highly suspect.

On one other note too---I have worked for 4 different Fortune 100 companies in the last couple of decades---NOT ONE OF THEM would allow an "employee" to blog so offensively on thier behalf.  Reputable companies would find your comments even if just your opinion to be inflammatory and full of potential for bad press (like you are getting here) Real companies know the need for tact and diplomacy when being represented.

 Hey Debra,

Since you are so ecstatic about your money and relationship with what you claim is a wonderful, rewarding, and upstanding company like Preston Lord Enterprises, why don't you contact them and help these people get their money back?

You boldly state to everyone on here that the Registration Fee is fully refundable.  Put your money where your mouth is:  Help these people who have received nothing and lost their money to Preston Lord get it returned.  If they are so reputable, why are they not returning these people's money?  In my letter, I am offered an "Unconditional Guarantee" that if I am unsatisified, my money will be returned, along WITH an additional $35 just for trying the program.

Explain clearly and simply Debra, without insult, why is this legitimate company not returning the REFUNDABLE FEE to these obviously unsatisfied consumers?

With your genius IQ and your obvious talent for identifying stupidy and losers, we wonder why you don't have a REAL JOB Debra.

Look up stupid in the dictionary; your picture will be in the margin.  Anyone who preys on the poor, desperate, elderly and innocent trusting population are just that:  PREDATORS.

You have repeatedly contradicted your own comments on here which make me wonder why you are labeling everyone else as a loser, stupid, or lazy.

I have the letter as well.  In one post you say you don't NEED the companies materials.  In others you detail how long it takes you to get them. The letter states the materials will immediately be "Rushed" to the requestor.  If you don't NEED the companies materials, why aren't you putting all your wealth and genius IQ to work, get off this site, work for yourself and take the world by storm?

If any of us "Losers" were making the money you CLAIM you are making, we would not be putting our time to use by posting on here how stupid everyone else is.   Suggestion:  you may wish to put your money to good use futhering your education.

If you are making ANY money at all from Preston Lord it would be getting paid for these redundant and ignorant posts.  Or perhaps you are in charge of mailing the materials many our not receiving?  That makes sense.

Common sense tells all of us that if you truly uncovered this goldmine of an opportunity, you most likely would be keeping it secret to yourself so that you could collect more for yourself, instead of rudely trying to share the wealth on this site.  In fact, you would be so busy making money, you wouldn't have time to think about gettinng on here to defend Preston Lord.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck . . . .

Me thinks thou does protest too much Debra!  Get a grip!

People respond with decently thought out comments and information, and Debra_C immediately violates the terms of service by responding with comments that contain vulgar language.

Welfare? Really? You wish you earned what I earn, heck you wish you earned what my daughter earns. Last week her take home pay, (Yes that means after taxes), was almost triple the amount of that check you posted.

We work in Information Technology. I am a systems engineer, and she is a multi-language programmer performing high end web design and database design.  Better, we both enjoy our jobs, look forward to going to work, and have never had to defend our decisions with foul and abusive language, nor have we felt it necessary to denigrate anyone else, even if they were on welfare. It is THEIR choice. Our choice gives us a nice life, we take multiple vacations, in fact in a few months I go to Vegas for a whole week of fun and gambling.

So? Why am I here? Because I received yet a 6th mailing inviting my to stuff envelopes, and yet from another post office. That's 6 invitations, from 6 differing post offices, (noted by utilizing information in the postmark on each envelope).  What does that mean? More than likely, someone paid 99$, and their 10 names, were the same 10 names that 5 previous people received, and they sent out a request to 10 people, who have already received 5 requests in the past several weeks, and their money was wasted. NOW, they have to spend MORE money on mailing lists, or if they were smart, scouring the Internet trying to obtain more mailing addresses and hoping that someone finally responds so they can start to recoup the money they wasted.

If Preston Lord Ent, was so great, then why is the State of New Jersey taking them to court, for the VERY THING that people here are warning others about? Why is their mailing address a mailbox at the UPS Store?

Lastly, I am watching a youtube video of someone who is actually broadcasting his experience with Preston Lord Ent. I note the letter he is sending out is the exact letter I received, will try to contact him and see if his is one that I did receive, since it was received in the correct timeline as his mailing.  If so, i will alert him that it is the 6th one I have received, BUT also, ask how his progress is, and update everyone here.

The check is real, period... I get them weekly. Look at your long post, look at my short one. Know why? Because I dont give a d**n if you buy it or not. What I dont like is seeing a company get bashed for no valid reason. Also, another obviou question you ask... Why am I the only positive? First, if you search the web, I am not. Second, it never fails that timid, spineless idiots outweigh other groups when it comes to online postings. Do me a favor, do not buy the program. I would hate to think an honest company like Preston Lord has someone so cowardly working for them, that they cant even spend a measly $99 to help build their own future. That is so d**n pathetic.McDonalds promises NOTHING to franchisees but charges $2 million to open a store. Many make nothing. Preston Lord goives you an actual business for as little as $99 and you moan and b***h incessantly? You seriously should hang yourselves. Timid, spineless cowards probably on welfare, so typical

Debra,

There is a challenge here not only by me but a handful of others now, you just like to pretend there isnt. I did find your post with the paycheck image on that other post, unlike you I will post a the link info to copy and paste to address bars so others can find and view it.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/mail-order-services/maxwell-gates-enterp/maxwell-gates-enterprises-maxw-c1ffa.htm

For anyone trying to view it, you will have to scroll down about 1/2 way to find the exact post then click the image to expand it.

It does look like a check alright its just funny how there isnt any address or phone number or contact info on the check for this Maxwell Gates Inc., this and as a few others pointed out it looks kind of looks photoshopped a bit. And why didnt you black out the routing/account numbers, no need to let others see that.

Anyway thank you for posting it, hopefully its real, please understand I truly want to believe those checks are the real deal. But as rude as you are to everyone Im still a bit leary, you take things so personal it makes me believe you are the owner of the company or something in disguise trying to defend your company just so others will make the mistake of paying you.. I hope this isnt the case, I hope this company is for real as are you.

Now here are a few other things Im concerned with. Ive noticed you seem to use aliases. There are a few other posters here, that sound EXACTLY like you. Its like a duplicate post of the same stuff you say all the time under the Debra C name word for word with just a different user name. Its obviously you no doubt, why the need to use the aliases?

Another red flag, a different poster noted "If you do a reverse lookup of the address on the web (minus the apt. #) you'll see it is a UPS Store, a rented mailbox." Why is this supposedly big successful company address a rented UPS mailbox?

I also notice there are a few complaints here from users that ordered from this company, did exactly what they were supposed to do, then after several weeks didnt get paid as Ive already mentioned before. The funny thing is I see your responses to these people that got ripped off, and you actually blamed THEM... and called THEM stupid. How is it their fault for doing exactly what they were supposed to do, yet they never got paid?

So, to some things up...

First off, I do thank you for posting the paychecks images I hope they are for real, I actually really DO want to believe it.

A legitimate company's success speaks for itself and is very obvious. If this company is legit, why the need for you to use aliases to try and give a good name to the company?

Why is this supposedly successful, huge, multi million employee business, using a UPS store rented mailbox for a return address?

When people complain here about getting ripped off after they did EXACTLY what they were supposed to, why do you blame THEM and call THEM stupid as if its their fault for this company ripping them off?

One more thing, why is it that only YOU (your aliases do not count) are the only one I read about that has success with this company?

Please answer the last few questions, thanks.

Yes I found the check, the copy, along with links to your posts have been forwarded the the New Jersey State attorney's office.

That way they can trace the check info and the bank and verify that the C is not for Carlucci, and that you are not a company plant posting bogus information in hopes of luring more dupes.

I find it interesting that Research shows 5 carlucci's, one in Pennsville NJ, the same state Preston Lord Ent, also known as Maxwell Gates Ent, has a lwsuit agains them by the state, currently moved to the State Suprerior Court. I also again note their current address is a POST OFFICE BOX, in a UPS store!

http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/business-reviews/work-at-home-companies/maxwell-gates-enterprises-in-mendham-nj-90102557

For more information about them, there is the link to the BBB file and information on the lawsuit against them.

Alternate Business Names
Capital Enterpises, Inc.
David Gates Inc.
Gordon James Enterprises
Maxwell Scott Enterprises
Preston Lord Enterprises
Warner Daniel Enterprises

As of January 9, 2013 the BBB cannot contact Preston Lord Enterprises by phone. The recording informs the callers that due a high volume of calls the company is offering phone service only to paid customers. The BBB advises consumers seeking any work at home jobs to ask the program sponsor to list every step of the job and to ask if the pay is based on client response (commission). Additional information about the expenses incurred, including supplies, additional fees should also obtained.

Of course, there is not way to contact them for information, until you give them money, then you are sunk. Last, has anyone else observed, that ONLY one person, has defended this company in ALL of the name iterations OF this company? The fact I don't need extra money, making far more then they offer at a job I am thrilled to be working at means I won't get ripped off by them.

Just as I suspected. This is nothing but a sham, an outright lie, a scam, a ripoff. This Barbra C. person is a fraud. Definitely a plant. She says she has posted proof with images of here checks that she has received from this company somewhere else on this site but we're to stupid to be able to find them. But she won't post them on this thread.  I searched the site for any other threads regarding this subject and could not find that proof. Why? because they don't exist. However I did find another thread called Maxwell Gates enterprises. And what do you know, there was Debra C. using  the exact same redirect defending that company also. My guess is that Preston Lord enterprises and Maxwell Gates enterprises is one in the same. And marketing the exact same work at home scam programs. They are crooks taking advantage of desperate people in desperate times, that have fallen on rough times, and are desperately trying to find a way to keep their heads above water to survive. Only to have some low life pieces of crap like these people pray on their weaknesses. The people who run these two companies are the lowest most despicable peaces of low life crap this world has to offer. This Debra C. person is an out right liar. It's not her real name and she's probably a man. Fore those of you here, that have actually ordered these materials I'm sorry. I understand why you did it. If you have an IQ of 156, I cannot understand why you cannot spell.  My 10 year old grandson learned to spell all of the words you have misspelled in your posts.

I suggest you take a second or third grade spelling course.  With such a high IQ you should learn to spell correctly in no time.

What also is really strange people is that if you read comments at BBB the person who posted there that they had made the alleged $1400 in a week was a man by the name of Joe or John or something close to that.  It is almost identical to the posts Debra C has made here.  Hmm  how many names or aliases do you use.

Assembler Solicitation

#45Consumer Comment

Thu, April 25, 2013

As I previously posted, the opportunity that you received for a position assembling the booklets is not that at all.

They basically want you to buy leads from them at $249.00 for 5,000 names or $30.00 for 200 names.  They have different quantities and different prices available. You then are to make as many copies of the advertising circular as you wish to mail out, purchase envelopes and of course the postage.  Think about the cost of copying and postage to mail out 5000 circulars.

The circulars advertise four different booklets, one being How to Raise your credit score, another being how to make money with your camera, one being how to start your own mail order business and lastly how to open a child care center.

It has nothing to do with assembling unless you wish to make all the copies and put them together.  They have thousands assembled which they will of course sell to you.  Even if you bought only 100 of the Credit One you have another outlay of $1000.  If you wish 100 of all four you have an outlay of $2000.  Now you have had an initial outlay of several thousand.  If you receive any orders from your initial mailing you then mail the booklet or booklets to the individual who ordered them from you.

Basically you would spend several thousand dollars with hopes that you receive some orders.
Postage alone to mail out 1000 circulars would be a lot.

I highly doubt an individual that uses such foul language has an IQ of 156.  I honestly do not know what my IQ is anymore because it has been several years but at one point in my life I was invited to join Mensa however had too many other responsibilities managing a law firm and also teaching at the local technical school to devote any time to another organization.

I am only trying to inform people thinking about sending the money in for this opportunity what the real low down on it is.  It has nothing to do with being paid to assemble booklets.

Debra probably is either the so called Preston Lord or a plant.  The ten leads they send you all are people with the same last name.  Now my bet is you send those ten out and some will purchase because they too are probably plants who purchase on behalf of Preston Lord Enterprises so that an individual thinks Wow, they really are buying these.  I honestly have to say after reading all four booklets there is not one bit of information in them that I did not already know.

You sell them using your own name, address etc so therefore if, and that's a big IF you do sell any, the complaints then come back on you.  Preston Lord or is nowhere mentioned in any of this scheme,.

Hope everyone has a good day and like I said I hope those of you that have made the leap and mailed out the letters do recover their costs and make some profit on this.  Anyone thinking of taking a leap I advise they not do so.

I see that you simply want to pontificate only on the subject matter of the BBB and  you fail to deal with the fact that their address is a P.O. Box in a UPS store and you also fail to address that the state of New Jersey has taken them to court.

It's easy to be nasty and denigrating, but not a truly effective measure. It only make you look foolish and petty. Has anyone else noticed that there is only 1 single person defending this company. And this, from a person who has commented that she has a high IQ, and tends to use quite a bit of foul and abusive language in a very pompous manner, leading to me to believe her language skills are less than adequate. (BTW, if you want to discuss IQ scores, I will be happy to at a Mensa meeting or regional gathering.)

I have received over the past week, 5 letter from this "company". There is no way to contact these people and ask them to quit sending me letters, because their phone number is a recorded message telling you if you want to contact them you have to pay them for materials.  Looking at the postmarks, they are all different, which leads me to believe that 5 people (so far), paid for the same mailing list being sold to them by the same company and these people are all sending me the "Opportunity" letter, in hopes I will join up so they earn a commission from the company they all bought the same mailing list from. Kinda sad really.

Hi Mitch - Answer to your Question

#48UPDATE Employee

Thu, April 25, 2013

I am unable to email you as they blocked out your email address.

I received the materials today and the letter you received relastive to assembling booklets is very misleading.  They send you one copy of four different booklets.

They also send you ten copies of a circular attempting to sell the booklets.  They give you ten leads (all same last name) with ten non-stamped envelopes.

They send you prices for leads.  You then copy and mail out all the circulars attempting to sell these booklets.

You ask for payment to be made to you and should you receive an order you then are to mail out the requested booklet.

The job is not assembling at all unless you want to make all the copies and put them together or they will sell you a set of the four booklets at $20.00.  If you only want to do the Credit One their cost is $10 per booklet and if someone orders they are charged $39 plus $3.00 postage.  It is then your responsibility to address and mail the booklet or booklets to the purchaser.

The letter we both received said they could not meet the demands they had and needed assemblers.  What they want is you to buy names from them, mail at your own expense the advertisement and should you get an order then yes you make $20.00 approximately if you deduct your cost for the booklet, envelopes and postage.  My advice is STAY AWAY.

As I posted in the past few days I sent the registration form plus a money order in the amount of $104.00 (I added the $5.00 for priority processing or mail.  The opportunity I registered for was the booklet assembly.  I mailed this on August 6, 2013 however that being a Saturday I am presuming it probably did not go out until the 8th which was Monday.  As of today I have not received any or the materials and as Debra posted in rebuttal was that it could take as long as three weeks.

To Webbcyte - Osceola - I note you are from Wisconsin.  I lived in Wisconsin the majority of my life but now am in Arizona since 2009 as my daughter and grandson are out here.  I lived in Milwaukee, Greenfield, Menomonee Falls, Franklin and lastly was in Delafield.  I had gone back to Wisconsin to take care of my mother who broke her hip and actually ended up with three replacements and the fourth time they had to remove it and not replace because of an infection.  What killed her actually was Septis which is sad but after that I decided I wanted to be near my only grandchild.  I miss certain things in Wisconsin but not the cold winters.

I noticed you received and mailed out your first batch and are now awaiting another shipment.  You don't have to pay again for each shipment do you?  The way I read it that is a one time fee unless you want to upgrade to a different level.

I am anxious to get started and truly hope it is legitimate as I am on Social Security which is very difficult to survive on.  I lost my hearing an balance function in a slip and fall about 15 years ago.  I am able to hear quite well with a Cochlear Implant and have trained my eyes to balance.  Then approximately five years ago I fractured my back so because of all this I am not able to seek outside employment on top of caring for my grandson when my daughter is at work (not to mention my age which is beyond 65 and on Social Security.  Webbcvyte please keep me informed as to how it is going for you as I know you also are in need of an opportunity to make income working out of your home.

Also let me know where Oceola is near in Wisconsin.  Thank you and thank you Debra for your response to my question.  I am just so anxious to receive these material and start earning some income to supplement my monthly benefit.

Debra, I have a question specifically regarding the envelope stuffing.  After reading the posts by you and others, it sounds like you are only getting paid when people purchase something from the mailers that are sent out.  Is that correct?  On average, approximately what percentage of the envelopes you stuff are you actually paid on?

The reason I ask is because I am considering this opportunity, but the paperwork that was mailed to me specifically says that I will be paid $10 for every envelope they receive, not $10 for every envelope I stuff and mail.  You mentioned a number of times the checks you are receiving for $700, $800, or $900, but did not mention how many envelopes you had to send out in order to get that much of a return.  If you could please let me know some details about this, I would appreciate it.

Its been a while since I checked in here to see whats going on.
I see you are now arguing with some of the other users here who like me notice your rude attitude defending this 'great' company but have yet to see any real proof from you as to what you claim.

Just do what I told you and zerox some of those big fat 600 or 700 dollar a week paychecks, block out all the critical info such as your address and account/routing numbers etc, so that it shows the name of this preston lords company, your name, and the amount they supposedly pay you each week. That would be VERY easy for you to do, and you could put this to rest so quickly.

You must understand Debra, if you can prove this is real how I have described above, I would gladly give this company a shot this is not a joke to me. I desperately (im on disability with bad health) could use a work at home job I can trust.

But for some reason you just keep ignoring my challenge, a challenge that has now been also asked by 2 other Ripoff report users. Please provide copies of these checks so we can believe you...because some of us (like myself) actually WANT to believe you.

Another Envelope-Stuffing Scam

#64Consumer Comment

Fri, April 19, 2013

Or False Advertising - or whatever else you want to call it.

Today I received an invitation to join (pay) "Preston Lord Enterprises" - and of course, like every prudent individual, I immediately begun to research this "business" - especially since it sounded too good to be true.

The entire "invitation" (or whatever you call this) - failed to mention that you get paid ONLY AND IF they can catch a buyer. They ONLY mention (several times over), that they will pay you $10 per envelope you stuff. I'd call this "False Advertising" - "Misinterpretation" etc. etc.

Also, what company pays $10 per stuffed envelope when they can use an envelope stuffing machine that does the job in seconds and costs a great deal less - which is what a company is looking for - PROFITS.

How is this "company" supposedly making any kind of profits - when they're paying $10 per envelope to be stuffed and mailed BACK to them???

Anyone with the IQ of a dog should have ALARM BELLS going off.

As for the IQ. Debra C stated that she has an IQ of 153 (Genius Level) - yet she's here, stuffing envelopes - sad. Also, I have to doubt the 153 IQ Level - simply because it doesn't take a genius 11 HOURS to STUFF 70 envelopes ($700 @ $10/envelope). What "envelope" takes over 9 MINUTES to STUFF? Unless of course, the company failed to mention that there's more to just STUFFING an envelope with their "special advertising letters", sealing it, sticking a label on it and mailing it BACK TO THEM - which is why it's taking "Genius", Debra C over 9 MINUTES per envelope!

P.S. @ Debra C - you made my final decision to throw this literature into the garbage - YOU are one of those trashy individuals who are a walking/talking/breathing advertisement for scammers that scream "TRASH". I wouldn't want to be associated with a classless rude b***h (excellent summation of your character by one of the posters). By the way - I DID notice how you've been avoiding the request by another poster to publicize your supposed "payments" for STUFFING ENVELOPES, Ms "Genius".

SCAM ALERT! That's all I see.

I was ready to give this a shot until I came to these post. Debra C if I was the owner of Preston Lord's company, I would ban you from posting anything about my company because people like you, while enthused you hurt the opportunity with your rude bashing of people.

Why have you not take up the offer to show us a picture of your paychecks? That would shut everyone up without you feeling like you need to defend this company at any cost and being so rude. I guarantee that anyone reading these post would just stay away from the program because of Debra C.

I'm sure that I will now be cast as an idiot and whatever else but in keeping it real with you Debra C, you would get you point across much more effectively if you weren't so rude. No one wants to listen to someone as angry as you about any type of biz opp...

Yes, Preston Lord does sell a number of different programs to my knowledge. Ive heard of that one but havent tried it yet. I do know people who use it and it does just as well as mine. You'll do great with it Im sure. The simple key to all of this is just closely following the instructions. They're simple and well proven. Good luck

Wait a minute Webcyte & Debra C.  The letter I got, is for a program to staple together and assemble informational booklets about how to fix your credit for $20.00 per booklet completed. And it clearly says, in bold type.  And I'm quoting preciously from the letter here. Begin quote: Your job will be putting the pages in numerical order, putting the booklet cover on the top of each set of pages, and stapling the whole thing together to form a booklet.

After completing the booklets, You'll then follow the instructions in our manual and mail the booklets as they're required, Whether daily or weekly. Payment for all completed booklets is sent to you before you're required to ship them. If you receive payments for sixty booklets, then you ship sixty booklets. If you receive payment for one hundred and fifty booklets, then you ship one hundred and fifty booklets, and so on. At the rate of $20.00 per booklet, you can see why it's easy for you to make $2,500.00 and more each week...and best of all, you're GUARANTEED PAYMENT FOR ALL STAPLED BOOKLETS. End quote

What I'm gathering  from what you two are conversing about is that you are doing something different, mailings of this letter or one like it that I've just quoted, and only if a sale is generated from your mailing, that you will receive pay. Now the envelope this letter came to me in and the registration form attached to the letter, asking that I send $99.00 has a code# on it. Which I'm gathering is assigned to someone doing the same thing you're doing (mailings of this letter I received) Is this correct. Please let me know.

Hello Debra,

Yes, that sounds great, I would like that information, thanks so much. I appreciate that thank you. I am very new to this so I am glad for the help getting into it. I just started my envelopes today, onto the letters tomorrow, should be ready to mail Monday! Sounds good. I think it is ok to put my name on here I guess. I dont know how to delete it though. I can ask them to help me after you get it then. Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it.

Webbcyte, if you do not mind posting your name and address I have extra materials along with a list of premium leads that I will send you for free. Your sales will go through the roof like mine did. The key to making a good check is consistency. You need to mail those letters out regularly to the most qualified leads, like the ones Preston Lord provided you. Obviously not everyone buys, but the percentages are very good, and of course each one that buys adds to your paycheck. You can post your name and address just until I get it, then take it down. I think this website lets you remove posts, not sure though

I got my package today. It contains the envelopes, letters, and self adhesive mail addresses. I am going to get started right away this weekend. They say to do it right away, that is best. They also say there are other opportunities as well, if you are so inclined. I am not sure which one I would like to do right now, I think I would like to try this one first.

So next, I mail everything out and wait for my first paycheck, that is it! So far, everything has been on the up and up from them, they sent the package right away and everything.

Well, I hope this helps someone in their decision. I was not sure myself, but I decided to just go for it.

Thanks for listening and have a great day!

I see Debra, you have not changed, still insulting everyone here, still acting like a rude b*tch. Such a good representative for this company, acting like a total a$$ constantly. That sure makes me want to run out and sign up having you spew your insults constantly, you are a moron.

" Theyve never even seen the product. So no, their opinion doesnt mean anything.".... and I suppose the people Ive read about that sent money in and still havent gotten a payment, their opinions dont mean anything either? Kind of like the 65 complaints from the BBB that you quickly dismiss by claiming the BBB is a scam? You think ALL of those people who sent those complaints to the BBB are some how what? Made up? You think the scamming BBB made them all up?

Then you say "While I make money very week, you rocket scientists actually spend your time online embarrassing yourselves talking garbage." The only one here embarrassing themselves is you, because you are just flat out one of the most rude a$$holes representing any company Ive ever seen. You are so stupid, you have not figured out all this time, that the more rude you get the more people will be sceptical of you. Taking things so personal only makes it look as it you are the owner of the company in cognito or something, you are a total idiot.

More insults you spew "Try using the same time to find a job etter than your current fast food position." ....really? Ive already explained Im disabled, with many health problems, see how you just ignore what you dont want to hear? Kind of like you ignored my challenge to prove what you say is true, so for your amazing level of stupidity, I will say it again in all caps so you cant ignore it.

SEND PROOF OF YOUR SUCCESS WITH THIS COMPANY, COPY A PICTURE OF THE CHECKS YOU GET, BLOCK OUT CRITICAL INFO AS IN BANK ACCOUNT #s ETC, SO ITS JUST THE $ AMOUNT, YOUR NAME, AND THE COMPANIES NAME.

If you ignore that yet again, we will all have to assume you are totally full of sh*t. Give us some real proof that this company is for real, or STFU. Now, its in all caps above, lets all see if you just ignore my challenge yet again.

I am excited to get my information and get started. I do hope it is soon and that I can start making good money. I am sure I will because that is what I have heard online at a few places so far. Gigi92, thank you for noticing the same thing I have that Debra C. is much too rude, and takes things much to personally for her to be just an average consumer to this company.

As Ive stated repeatedly, if she really was having all this success with this supposed million dollar super successful Preston Lords company, then she would simply be much more respectful about others scepticism. She would have said something like "I understand your caution, but trust me this is for real you can make good money doing it I do all the time", but instead you see what she does...calls everyone idiots instead.

How is that an honest representative of the company? It isnt. She is obviously the owner, or in relation somehow to the owner, of this company, thats my guess. Or she is just super rude. Until she takes my advice and provides proof, as in the example I gave her to use, then she is just blowing smoke from her rude mouth.

IF she does provide some proof, and it doesnt look totally photoshopped, then I MIGHT be tempted to call this company up and talk about their prices. But until then Im with you and saying away from it. Look up this company online and try to find all the success stories there should be from a company that supposedly has millions of customers as Debra claims....theres very little at all about this company and the only success story Ive really seen yet, is HERS...funny dont you think?

It is impossible to take anyone seriously who comes right out of the box insulting and belittling others who hold an option different from their own. Debra C's comments were so nasty and so aggressive in response to what? Someone respectfully reporting on a negative experience HE had. I can't even begin to imagine why that incited such vitriol.

What I do know is this: Being rude and insulting for absolutely no LOGICAL reason removes any credibility Debra C.'s comments may have had. I too received a mailing from this particular company and was just checking around about them. That's how I wound up here. Debra C's comments, more than anything else I've read, will make me steer a million miles away from this offer!

People like her, are why this world has gone to crap, they actually not only think they are better then everyone else, but have the right to talk crap to everyone else.

But you see, I dont like people being rude b*tches when all Im trying to do is find out if this company is for real....which so far Debra has done absolutely nothing to prove it is, just acts insanely rude and calls everyone else idiots...when she is easily the biggest moron Ive ever seen.

She could have just said something like "I understand your scepticism, but trust me this company is for real its not a scam" but no she has to be a rude a$$ instead. For her to get so angry, and take peoples scepticism sooo personal....it just makes ya want to believe she is somehow involved with this company on a deeper level then just a consumer, as in she is the owner of the company, or relation to the owner, etc.

She claims millions of people use this very successful company, and yet she is the only one Ive seen here, and on any other site basically that has used this company successfully...funny how that works eh?

Your posts continue to show how ignorant you are. ONE person SAYS they sent in $299 and got nothing? Did they wait a full 3 weeks? It often takes that long to receive materials. The company waits for all payments to clear first and sometimes do not deposit your payment right away. I have ALWAYS received what I paid for, and have placed DOZENS of orders.

Every single complaint online is from either some waste of life who doesnt even know what this product is, or some dumb a** who sent in money and thinks it will magically appear the next day. It takes a few weeks usually. There isnt one valid complaint online anywhere against Preston Lord. Whether its here, or at that scam BBB's website. Incredible that people are so stupid not to know the BBB IS a scam ITSELF.

Its simple, Preston Lord has OVER A MILLION CUSTOMERS and there isnt ONE valid complaint anywhere online!!! Just a bunch of people with nothing else to do "barking"... so keep making yourselves look foolish. I wonder if we have lost sight of what is going on here. This is not a personal attack on Debra time, this is a report for people to say hey, I have tried this company or no I am wondering about it, etc. Come on now, let's just get it back to that now.

I want to say that I see good in people. It makes me sad when people fight. I have mental problems and I get scared easily, so it doesn't happen much around me. I don't go out much anymore. THis is why I am trying this job. I do hope it goes well.

I sent my money in, and now I am awaiting the packet. I was told to have patience, because it takes a little bit to get into the system, so I am not going to freak out if I don't get my box in the mail tomorrow. I understand this right away that a lot of people are doing this just like me.

And again with the name calling, claiming you are not rude then calling everyone idiots again for being sceptical of this company. Not only are you a rude b*tch, but you are a moronic one at that. You are literally too stupid to see how rude you are.

You say everyone that has used this company has been successful, even after I told you already that there is a complaint right here on RipOff reports where a person lost $299.00 to this company...you magically ignore that huh? And that was back a few weeks I have not checked on here recently, and that does not include the other sites where the same thing happened to others. Maybe ALL those folks just got unlucky hmm? I dont know, but it shouldnt take more then about 4 or 5 days tops to get a response once they receive your payment, its not hard to figure out.

IF this company is as huge and successful and has provided soooo many people, millions you claim, with a successful income.....then how come there is nothing known about it? How come when you try to find info online about this company there is almost nothing there? IF its so successful there should be a lot of, you know, success stories...there isnt.

So, IF you really are having success with this company as you claim little Ms. rudeness Debra C., ok then once and for all heres what you can do. Since you claim to have all these checks rolling in, then go ahead and prove it. I know this might be a new concept for you instead of just running your rude mouth. Take your next check you get from this company and before you deposit it, make a zerox copy of it.

You will need to blank out all the critical info of course as in account numbers and routing numbers etc.  Just leave it so we can all see this check made out to you, from this wonderful company, and the amount you are getting each week. Lots of success stories from other companies do this its nothing new. Then provide a link or some other way the viewers here can see it.

Other then that, its just your word, your very rude word, against a lot of sceptical people. My bet, is you will just be rude yet again, and not do it making a bunch of BS excuses and let everyone here down. Lets see if maybe you will surprise me, I doubt it.

Preston Lord Enterprises probably does not receive more than about 1 responses for every three or four hundred mailings sent. Thus if you folded, stuffed, sealed, addressed and posted 500 mailings and they got 2 responses, but probably only one purchase you would receive the promised $10.00.

In other words, don't waste your time and money.. Ill bet, if the truth were known, they receive more money from gullible people whom responded to there mailings than from the mailings there paid customers stuffed and mailed.

As further proof: You can lease a machine for $150.00 to $200.00 a month that will stuff, seal and label 500 hundred letters an hour. Re: SECP S1100 FOLDER INSERTER http://www.secap.com/products/si1000/details

Does it make any sense for a company to pay someone $490.00 to stuff and mail 49 letters when a machine can do ten times that for under $20.00?

Furthermore, I too believe that Debra C. is an employee of the company.  Why else would someone be so rude to people when the company gets put down.

65 complaints is a lot? Find another company with over a million customers that only has 65 complaints AND remember the BBB marks ALL CONTACTS as complaints, valid or not. That scumbag organization destroys businesses by not even checking a complaints validity. Watch the 20/20 report on the BBB to see what a scam they are. In any given BBB file, 60% of all registered complaints are completely invalid but are still allowed to go on record as a negative mark. Everyone knows the BBB is a scam. If you dont pay them membership fees, you get an F rating. Other companies with more than 65 complaints have an 'A' rating. How do you explain that? Do you use the product? Have you ever seen it? No you havent. Youre just someone whose life is so worthless you write an endless post about something you know nothing about... youre a loser, simple. Debra...

The fact that you get so rude with anyone that says anything negative about your precious Preston Lords company, only shows and proves to everyone here a few things.

A, You are a rude b*tch. You cant say anything to anyone without being a complete a$$hole, so you discredit yourself completely because you take it so personal you must be more involved then just a normal consumer.

B. You think 65 complaints or anything else negative said about your company must be from a bunch of idiots. You simply ignore or dismiss or discredit any negative things about the company, proving you are a complete moron. Not all complaints are from people that have not paid money to this company. You think all of the complaints were what? Made up?

C. You are actually the companies owner, or employee, or friend, or some how personally involved which is why you get way more angry then you should. If you were just a normal customer who had luck with the company, you wouldnt act like a rude moron as you do. You would just say "Hey I use it and it really works, honest. I can see your caution in trying a new company, but I promise its legit Ive used it for a while with good results."...or something along those lines. Instead you act like a rude a$$.

I had to make a new account for some reason my other CWB account wont let me log in, but this is CWB from the post with the 65 complaints from the BBB.

Regardless if you like the BBB or not, 65 complaints is a LOT. It doesnt matter how big or small the company is, get it? Its still 65 complaints and that is a fairly large amount of complaints for any company. And saying something like ...well all those complaints are all just stupid people...which is basically is what you think, only makes YOU look stupid, understand?

Im disabled from multiple health problems, and have been looking for a work at home type company to try. But unfortunately for a very long time all I have found are scams. Im just trying to get to the bottom of this and other companies. Thank goodness for sites like RipOff Reports to help reveal the scammers, because there are way more scammers then legit companies on the web....by far.

I think its funny how you, Debra C, are the only one here defending this company. If this company is so huge and so good like you say it is, then where are all the other success stories? Why are you the ONLY one here who has had luck with this company?? Why are you the only one here defending this company, to the point you take things so personal and get so rude?

Its not hard to find 65 idiots to complain when they likely cant read simple English. I have received everything I ever ordered. Youre mentioning ONE person who probably started complaining immediately after ordering. Sometimes it takes weeks to receive my orders. Please get a life. Not a single complaint is from people who have actually seen or used the program. everyone who actually uses it only has good things to say. On top of that, the BBB itself is a FRAUD. There is another complaint right here on RipOff Reports of a person who sent in $299.00 and never got anything back. Just type in Preston Lord Enterprises in RipOffs search window and check it out. I decided to look up a bit more info on this company. There are lots of complaints according several other websites, and on the BBB alone they have a total of 65 complaints against them see for yourself.

If you are in fact not Preston himself or some friend or employee of his and have actually had good luck with this company, then my sincere apologies to you my friend Im glad it has worked for you and hope that it continues to do so. BUT...many others have got ripped off by this very same company. If this has worked good for you, then your responses should be more polite instead of accusing others of being stupid. Instead it seems very personal, which leads me to believe you are either Preston himself or who ever is running that company, or someone who is a friend or employee of that company.

My husband? I wasnt aware that I was still married. You are correct on one matter. It is solely about return on investment, and that $900 was MY end, expenses are covered separately. Perhaps you should examine the subject you pontificate about prior to doing so. You couldn't appear more ignorant at this moment if you tried. I'm quite certain you do not possess a 153 IQ as I do, which is certified, so that is surely an avenue you do not wish to go down with me.

The fact you spend even one minute bashing a program you have never seen, and no nothing about firsthand, truly indicates just how "fulfilled" and "important" a life you must lead. Now excuse me, because unlike you, I have checks to deposit

One testimony from the immature comes to the defense of a legitimate and mutually profitable company employing what?  Hundreds? Perhaps thousands?
Your argument is even wrong- the argument that any potential investor would have is not in the dollars
per hour, but the amount of returns per investment.

This is too silly! The scam and the "risk versus success" ratio are obvious to most- thats why there are very few complaints; because, likely, there are very few takers.

You and your husband need to stop trying to make a living off of the desperate and gullible! Though you may be felons, uneducated, and lacking both IQ and EQ, there is still an honest, low wage job for you too,
here in America. I have nothing more to say.

Obviously you're illiterate then Dee. If you knew how to read simple English you would see the only people complaining are those who either never purchased the program or didn't read the instructions. Everyone online who has used the program correctly only has good things to say. Preston Lord paid me $900 this week for only 11 hours of work. How much did you make in 11 hours Dee?

I received one of their packages in the mail. The wrong of this company is their false advertisement, and at best, misleading. Unfortunately, one would not typically know the truth of this deception until after a costly investment. Gratefully, I didn't because I read these inside stories first.
