I know that most of you reported your ripoff stories a few years ago, but I wanted to tell mine as I am still dealing w/ the vet bills even after 6 years. I purchased my gsd from James in October of 2004 when he was in Poplar Bluff, MO. My gsd was 8 months old and $3000, but he dropped the price to $1500 cause both his testicles had not dropped, which I didnt care cause he was getting neutered anyway. Picked Striker (from the s litter) up and his nails were long, he smelled so bad, he jumped all over the place, didnt list to a word James said. Also my dog who was suppose to be started in beginning protection training, had serious anxiety, it was a huge problem for me as I worked. I couldnt believe how crazy this dog was. I cried to my parents almost on a weekly basis cause of this dog. He ate my walls, cloths, carpet, couch, siding off my house, ect, you name it he chewed it up. James said he just moved to Poplar Bluff and his wife had the akc papers at their other home in KS, she will mail them out to me, well its 2010 and I still have no papers... I gave up after about 2 years of harassing him and not having him call me back. Meanwhile, Striker was getting out of puppy stage. He became the best dog, best dog I could ever have and still is, my probelm is w/ his health, I have no papers, I have no history on him and his family, I have spent well over $1000 in vet bills trying to figure out what is wrong w/ him, he developed "allgeries" but this was no normal allergies. Major infections in his ears, his feet, I know gsd are prone to many things, but It just would of been nice to know the history of my dog. Just a total rip off. My dog is wonderful and I wouldnt trade him for anything and he was purchase for a pet, but I did pay for akc papers and didnt get them. Hes just a scam and all James wants is money, he doesnt care anything for these dogs.
