After filing a complaint with the NJ Attorney General Office, I was instructed to contact the Monmouth NJ County Department of Consumer Affairs, which I did. An investigator in that office investigated my complaint. Initially, Pricerock did not respond to the investigator, which prompted her to threaten legal action including a $10,000 fine for violating NJ consumer protection laws. On April 28, 2007, I received a letter from the investigator along with a cashiers check from Pricerock for a full refund of all money owed to me. I hope that Pricerock has learned a lesson! And, I have nothing but praise for the Monmouth NJ County Department of Consumer Affairs Department.

According to the Trenton, NJ BBB, David Murad is the other contact person at Pricerock.com (phone # 732-765-8181). He was contacted by the BBB in response to my complaint about not receiving a refund for returned merchandise and for displaying icons on his website that deceptively implied that Pricerock.com was a merchant in various online shopping search engines. He informed the BBB that he has removed the deceptive advertising from his website and that he was working with Paypal to resolve my dispute against him. Paypal closed my claim stating that they were unable to authorize a refund for merchandise that is returned to the seller, despite my being able to document the return and it fully complying with Pricerock.com's 30 day return policy stated on the its website. If you have been a victim of Mike Kluegl and David Murad's (Pricerock.com) no-refund/exchange-for-returned-merchandise scam, PLEASE file a complaint with the organizations listed in my original report.
