When I signed up to be a bidder, unknown to me, I was charged $149.75 when I registered my credit card. There is no indication that I would be charged, just sign up and receive free bidding points. I have been trying to get a refund, but to no avail.

You fell for the new penny auction site scam. Do you honestly think you'd get a 50" brand new plasma tv for $50 or a Ipad for $10? Really? If it sounds too good to be true it always is. It also pays to actually read any disclaimers on the site before signing up, many of them state right when you sign up that you will be charged, why would you put your credit card in if you didn't think you'd be charged? Seriously? Also it would take you 5 seconds to type the domain name into Google to see the company's reputation and on the first page of Google i'm already seeing complaint after complaint after complaint, how hard was that to look up? Not hard at all. You have to realize that all penny action sites are all working against you and will cost you way more money than you think because they are out to take advantage of people who don't bother to read terms and conditions.
