I leased with Prime Inc just this year in 2012. What a joke! The first 2 weeks were great. then i started getting settlement of like 400 and 500 dollars not taking a cash advance.oh by the way this was a lease deal. then it went up a little bit for the next few weeks. i spent six weeks out and when i went back i was 2 weeks in the hole. then the third week i got a settlement of 960. Thats 320 a week for 3 weeks. how am i or anyone supposed to live on that and pay bills. And im my own boss. that 960 i recieved was out of a 4500 dollars in for doing the runs. i was nickled and dimed to death. sometimes no reefer fuel surcharge. and most of the time the regular fuel surcharge only covered bout half. Prime Inc is absolutely terrible!!!!

My husband works for Prime Inc.  He is an owner operator.  And we are sinking.  As a matter of fact, we have no more room to sink further.  We're about to lose our home and it's only days before Christmas.  We are trying to figure out how we are going to get money for heating oil, groceries, utility bills, car payment, car insurance and that doesn't even cover what to do for christmas shopping.

My husband is trying so hard to make something of himself.  He was promised so much at Prime.  He too started off great.  But it is so bad, he is constantly negative and hasn't made money in weeks.  I can't figure out how a company can bring a man down so low and be proud of themselves.  You'd think if they had a good hard worker, they would be proud to have someone like that working for them.  But all they do is nickel and dime him to the point that he owes them.

His fleet managers, well, they are idiots.  And you're told you don't work for the fleet managers, they work for you.  He has been trying to get rid of his current fleet manager for several weeks now, and they keep stalling.

The fleet manager in my opinion doesn't want to work for his paycheck.  He just wants the money to roll on in with very little effort on his part.  They make my husband sit for days at a time, they have also made him swap loads, they have also promised my husband he would be home on time and then last minute he finds out he is not going to be home when he is suppose to.  He has missed two doctor's appts because of this company.  Team?  No way does this company take care of their truckers.  They could care less.  And as for Mr Low, my husband has been in contact with him.  He acts like he is on your side to your face but yet nothing ever gets done.  It's funny at one time someone helped him further his career years ago.  But is he there for anyone?  No, he is too high up in the chain to care.  And obviously he forgot where he came from.  My husband only wants to do good and make a decent life for himself and his family.  But this company has just used him knowing he was a good worker, and brought him so low that we might lose alot in our lives.  Thanks Prime, Thanks Mr. Low for showing us you can't trust.  Tell me Mr Low, are you worried about purchasing heating oil?  Are you worried about how you're going to buy Christmas dinner?  I doubt that very much.

Thats their favorite line, "Your Business",, only you have no control.  You roll the dice on who your dispatcher is, and that is who makes or breaks you. An interesting note, they track each fleet managers fleet on a weekly basis, revenue per truck, turnover, average amount each truck is in the hole, etc.  I have seen these reports and you would be surprised by the figures.  Most fleets are in the negative, as a whole, while some trucks in a fleet managers fleet show a profits, others are in the hole, dragging down the numbers.  Turnover rates are in the 50 to 70 percent range for fleets.  I have seen many trucks in the negative 5,000. range, which is hard to recover.  While many trucks will be positive a thousand or so each week the negatives take the average down.  I remember one week all fleets were negative and they gave a high five email to the lowest negative.....
