Primetime Movers LLC of Hollandale Beach quoted us $800.00 - for an all inclusive local move. They were very specific on the phone that there were NO additioal fees we had packed everything and it was only a 10 mile local house move.

When the movers - 3 x Russians, claiming to be Polish arrived, they asked for half the money in cash. We paid $400 and they asked my wife to sign the moving contract. It all looked fine as we had agreed with Michael (the moving co-ordinator) to the fee. They loaded up all our furniture and we paid the remaining $400.00. They drove off "to get lunch" on route to our new home. After they left and were out of sight, Paul - the driver, the only one who spoke English called and informed us we had to pay an additional $3888.00 - the balance as he called it for "additional services". If we didn't pay they would charge even more for storage. We called their company - which we have since found out is not registered in the state of Florida - and were informed "it was all in the contract" - which is bogus. If we didn't pay we wouldn't get our furniture returned. So a typical extortion scam.

We went to the bank to get the cash - they only wanted cash or money orders (to leave no paper trail). Our bank manager warned us to call the police as this is a well known scam. A local sheriff's deputy came with us to deliver the money. Paul showed us but wouldn't hand over an invice until we paid him.

They quickly unloaded our furniture into our garage and left. Not moving anything into the house or upstatirs as per the "agreement". They then gave me a copy of the agreement and left as quickly as possible. The contract had all sorts of additiional bogus charges to total the $3888.00 - such as "moving upstairs $450.00 - they didn't move anything upstairs, "16 x mattress covers at $450.00" when only one was used and we were told by Michael it was "all inclusive" with no additional fees. "Fuel surcharge" - $75.00 when we only moved 10 miles.etc. So in total we paid $4688.00 for a move that should have cost $800 - $1000.

Keep away from these scam artists. They only exist on the internet. They are NOT a regsitered Florida corporation, there address is a mail drop, they are fraudsters who will say anything upfronts to earn your trust then hi-jack your furniture and exort cash from you, and lie even in front of a sheriffs deputy. We only found out most of this after they left when comparing the "contract" with their emailed quote which dodn't include any "additional fees". We also saw too late for us a similar report on Ripoff report for the same company and moving crew.
