I paid extra for a promised pick up and delivery date, neither of which was met. Several items were damaged and they still refuse to settle the claim. The drivers were also using drugs (could tell by smell) and were extremely rude. They kept trying to leave before setting up tables, beds, etc. Now their customer service department refuses to respond. I plan to sue.

They first unloaded everything from the truck and put all the items in my front yard. It had been raining, so it started off with everything being wet. They took many cigarette and cell phone breaks and then became agitated with the amount of time it was taking them to finish. They tried to leave numerous times stating they were finished when they had not put together the kitchen table, connected the washer/dryer, attached mirrors to dressers or put together the bed frames. I had to ask over and over for these things to be done. They never put my entertainment center or bookshelf back together, and they left many boxes in the dining room even though I asked them over and over to put the boxes in the rooms they were marked to go in. The mirror on the dressers were not secured and indeed the one in my bedroom fell off and hit the floor the next day.

Furthermore, I paid an extra $400 for a guaranteed delivery date of September 2nd. They did not deliver until September 3rd (they were a day late for the pickup, calling me the day before to tell me they couldn't make it and there was nothing I could do about it).

I submitted pictures of damages and was offered something like $65.00 for everything! Included were pictures of the jewelry box with the legs missing, broken dresser drawers, severely scratched nightstand, broken kitchen chair, the dining room with boxes left all over instead of being put in the marked rooms as requested numerous times, shelves from the bookcase and entertainment center that were not put back in place but rather left taped up in the hallway, and the washing machine with the electrical cord cut in two. Furthermore, the water hoses were not properly connected causing a small flood in the laundry room before I was able to connect them properly. I also noticed that they put the mirrors on the dressers but did not screw them in, causing the mirror in my bedroom to fall off onto the floor.

I paid $2500 for a move that was quoted as $2090. I feel that I did not receive the level of service I was promised and I am very concerned that the drivers were operating a "US DOT" vehicle under the influence of illegal substances. I have yet to receive any settlement or response from their customer service department after I rejected the ridiculous offer.

Y, It may interest you to know that Pristine was not licensed until after your move was complete. They received their interstate license on September 14, 2006, and yours was delivered on Sept 3. They didn't even have an INSURANCE policy covering your goods, it was activated on Sept 6. Please report your move to the DOT, file your complaint by calling 1-888-DOT-SAFT Pristine had a sister-company agreement of sorts with East-West-Moving & Delivery, they claimed to use EW's license (it's not legal to do so without all sorts of papers on file) but the companies had a falling out and one owner ran off leaving Pristine's owner high and dry. Karma?
