ProFlowers used to be a decent company, but their trickery is really getting out of hand.

We had chosen a simple $30 flower arrangement (don't scoff - how much are you inclined to spend on your Mother-in-law for Valentine's Day?), and were presented with a calendar of delivery options.  The date we chose specifically indicated a corresponding delivery charge of $9.99.  Not cheap, but I've seen worse.

We are hardly internet neophytes, and yet we still managed to end up somehow "confirming" the order - which due to the dates in question officially couldn't be canceled even seconds after it was placed - unintentionally in the course of hitting a simple Continue button.  They had our credit card information on file, and so apparently never presented the typical and expected order confirmation page.

Much to our surprise, on the final billing the shipping charge appeared not as $9.99, but rather a total of $27.93 (! - almost as much as the flowers), broken into three parts (two of which had conveniently not been mentioned earlier in the process).

I seriously doubt that any of this is accidental, or just poor web design.  I am convinced it is a very deliberate, and probably illegal, attempt to mislead consumers and hide the true cost of delivery until after the order is placed, or at least until after the customer has gone to the trouble of entering all recipient and billing information, composed a card message, etc..

To me this seems in need of a class-action suit...
