ProFlowers overnights flowers via FedEx because that is the best way to get them to you. They always arrive VERY fresh this way. Why would you want fresh flowers to be sent to somebody (like a local florist) to be arranged first, then sent to you. That would add a day or two to the process and they flowers wouldn't be fresh anymore and it would jack up the price. I think their customer service is awesome to. I received flowers that died after 6 days so I called to complain ( they grantee the flowers will last 7 days.) They sent me a free replacement bouquet the very next day. My roses lasted almost 2 weeks. I also received roses that arrived arranged from a local florist for valentines day, they were dead after two days, do you think the sent me more flowers? Of course not, only Proflowers would do something like that. Maybe you didn't like their customer service because you probably had an attitude with them. And of course your card was included, it was on the outside of the box. Oh, and about the box. Its not some ugly brown box. It IS a designed gift box, with the companies logo in the company colors. The flowers and vase are packaged nicely.

Absolute worst customer service you can imagine. After failing to deliver my order of Mother's Day flowers, I get a lame email telling me how busy they were this time of year. They told me that, with my permission, they could deliver the flowers 2 days AFTER Mother's Day. Sorry bloflowers, that is totally unacceptable. I almost forgot to mention that the charges for a simple bouquet were around $90. Never again...................

Their flowers are always fresh, alive, and last far longer than traditional florists delivered units. And come on, guys, how difficult is it to unwrap a small box of flowers, get water, cut off the stems and arrange TWELVE flowers? Geez. If you were so concerned, TURN OFF ESPN radio, go to the florist, buy some flowers and deliver them yourself!!! I can't imagine anything more romantic than my hubby walking in with flowers, an embarrassed but loving look on his face, and hearing all the "Awwwww's" from wifey's coworkers. Of course, those flowers won't last as long as Proflowers, but you won't have the horror of trying to arrange TWELVE stems of roses. >>

I just wanted to send her flowers to ease the discomfort of a new job. I wasn't informed that it was a "Do it yourself kit". By the way, your card was attached to the invoice.

They do not list that they use carrier services instead of a person delivering, because they know that will keep a lot more people from using their service. They do not tell representatives in training to make any type of reference to the flowers arriving in a box unless the customer brings it up. At that point, the rep is instructed to tell the customer that the flowers will arrive in a "designer" gift box. The word "designer" is used in hopes that it will distract the customer from questioning more about the flowers coming in a box. It's a bad way to send flowers, because sometimes the flowers are damaged from the boxes being handled badly by FedEx and UPS, and sometimes the vase breaks and pieces of glass end up in the flowers. All you can do is to call and ask for a full refund. If you don't tell them you want a full refund, then you will just get another order resent in a box.
