Progressive Car Insurance Progressive IS A RIPOFF COMPANY, WILL DO THEIR BEST TO AVOID PAYING FOR CLAIMS Ripoff Mayfield Village Ohio
I ran into an accident on March 23rd of 2007 with a driver who is carrying Progressive car Insurance Policy# 62116345-3 and the Claim# is 073111347. I was driving in an inclined road, the driver infront of me was busy talking on his cel phone and did not slam on his brakes, his car rolled back at me and hit the front bumper of my car and caused some serious damage to the bumper and grill guard. He hanged up his phone, walked out of his car, and asked me to pull over to give me his insurance information.
There was a witness who was driving in the middle lane, and saw the accident happen, he gave his testimony to my insurance that it was the other's driver fault. However the driver did not claim responsibility to the accident and progressive denied my claim and said it's my word against the driver's word, and there is no evidence, although they never tried to contact the witness.
Progressive is trying to avoid the expenses by neglecting the witness as an evidence, and refuse to refund me back my money, just because the driver refused to claim his responsibility. I think this is a very unfair situation, it's not my fault and my insurance should not be responsible for damages that was done by someone who is irresponsible and negligent. I demand for a full refund of my insurance money and my deductible of $500.
