I was contacted by a fellow user named as John Slogan on myspace recently.

In the email it states he is interested in my photos and they were doing a shoot in Mexico City on the 13th of September.

Now to cut the story short.

I was obviously suspicious this might have been a scam.

Running around myspace and having private messages sent and not on the myspace comments itself.

I delayed my response and just added him to myspace and do abit of investigation.

I noticed the myspace account was only created a week earlier as well as the compnay name was not displayed anywhere on the Internet.

To gain some more information he once again responded to my 'Add a friend' then he sent a similar private message back to me stating to almost the same thing.

So I responded and he sent me the information and application form.

I did not respond to the application form or fill it out.

Instead I delayed the response again to do some further investigation.

Few days later I received another email from to the called representative with further information of where the shoot was to take place.

Only this time I had a website I could look at.

Now first thing I noticed on the website.

I was poorly done, and as a computer tech, if the Agency was running for for 4 years successfully they would have had the money to afford a better and clearer website design.

2nd thing I noticed the ad banner located on the top left of the screen was in a foreign language, now only free DNS sites will display this unless payed for which a a real Agency would pay to clean their layout for their clients and customers.

3rd thing.

In the email the address was [email protected] now an Agency would have paid to have their own email address such as [email protected].

4th

The application form was in a dodgy plain text.

A Proffessional agency would have invested in a decent application form with their logo attached and stamped onto it.

5th

The user's Myspace account was deleted 2 times and the user re-added me to their friend list.

And so what I did was I did a search of the Location of the company address to verify it. I Noticed it was also registered to another company which was a Lawyers firm.

Then I did a search for the phone number which was also provided which lead me to this page.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/262/RipOff0262600.htm

and I have finally concluded this was a scam.
