Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Company stated in a letter sent to my home address, that I would qualify for an exemption for 2008 and a cash refund for 2007.  That the exemption is allowed under Texas law (Taxation Code Section 11.13) and when granted will reduce the taxable valuation of your property by atleast $5,000 each and every year.

Property Tax Assessor Records Corp. service assists homeowners in applying for and obtaining the exemption and prior year refunds.  Any legal right to receive the examption in 2008 or to receive a refund of taxes overpaid inn 2007 will be lost if a filing is not made by statutory deadlines.

To apply for the exemption, and to apply for a refund of taxes overpaid in 2007, simply sign and return the exemption processing card to us in the enclosed envelope.  Instructions are listed on back of card.

There is a one time processing fee of $55 by Property Tax Assessor Records Corp.  We will fully refund the fee if for any reason the exemption is denied.  You will not need to apply in future years; the exemption will automatically be deducted from your tax bill once your claim form has been received and processed by the Central Appraisal District.

To assure our prompt processing, please return your card before April 30, 2009. This may be our only notice to you.

A chart follows the letter above showing the 6 taxing units, exemption amounts allowed, which of these allow a refund and shows my annual tax that I pay in each unit.

I sent a check on December 12th 2008 for $55, and have yet to receive any reply or refund. I have called the Conroe Tax Appraisal office and they have know idea what I'm talking about and have no record of an exemption being filed for my property address.

I just want this to be stopped, $55 is not much to lose, however I thought my tax bill would show this exemption. Now I have to re-file an exemption with the city in which I live and I had to change banks knowing that they had my bank account number and my signature.

I wrote this also in hopes that it may help others to watch out for these scams and make sure you check resources and/or the BBB before sending any money.  I was sure this was legitimate, I read it over and over and I still was a victim.
