Don't get hooked with these people. Call from ad for Secret Shopper. Spoke with a Nate representing Proshoppersonline.com.

We talked about their need for shoppers and he first said would make $50 per review. There would be online training and support.

Later changed this to $15-$50 (usually $20) per review. He then said there is an initial fee that is normally $60, but they have reduced this since in need of good shoppers and the charge will be $20, plus the $9.95 for first month of assignments.

I later found out written in a statement by Valerie Torres their Customer Service Manager is the normal charge is $29.95 and not $60 (lie told to me by Nate). Later told they have been in business 10 years and $60 used to be the charge. Again, led to believe this was a current situation.

He said I would receive online training. Well the online training is doing two reviews of real places I review and send them. So they are actually getting free reviews that I have paid for and not getting paid to review!! Hmm

Plus they request you fill out resume (claiming this is to help you get the assignments) Not told prior to signing up. Why would I need a resume to get assignments when I just signed up with them to get assignments??s

Gets worse.... the 800 number supplied for customer service ... they said they are available 6 A.M to 5:00 P.M. Pacific time (or 9-8 East Coast time). They do not answer. Recording says to call back during business hours and then later when the call went through I waited for someone to pick up for 10 minutes at a time and then call goes into message they are so busy with other customers to please leave your name.

When finally got person in Customer Service I was then told I had been told the $29.95 was a non-refundable charge and they a recording that they had told me this. I said the recording then would also note I was told there was a discount on membership.

Bottom line entire operation is not totally above board. I paid already for this lesson, but you should not have to pay to go to work! Think about it!

ProShoppersOnline is an honest company that strives in customer satisfaction. Our company provides all terms and conditions for ProShoppersOnline. All terms and conditions as well as charges are authorized by our customers. By listening to the taped conversation, of Ms Eileen H and our operator #986, we have found that Ms Eileen H was told she would be paid up to $50 per assignment, not $50 per assignment. Assignment pay with secret shopping varies. Our service activation fee has been reduced from $60 to $20.00 plus your first month of $9.95 ($29.95 total to sign on). The activation fee is is used to set up your account with ProShoppersOnline and it is $9.95/month to keep your account active and updated. When Ms Eileen H called our customer support deparment on 4/27/07 and explained how she was under the impression that it was only $20 we did clarify, again, the terms she signed up under and issued a refund for the first monthly fee of $9.95 ProShoppersOnline is not employment, we are a service. Our customers are not paying for job or to receive jobs/assignments they are paying for a service to assist them in getting started within the secret shopping business. ProShoppersOnline has done the research online and have found the best places to register with and centralized them in one location online. With our service you also have unlimited accesses to our live support team. Our customers may contact us as many times as they like to get as much assistance as they may need to make sure they are successful in secret shopping. Our goal is to make sure that our customers are able to find the assignments in their local area, accept them, complete them, and get paid! A description of our program along with our prices and terms and conditions are available on our website, www.proshoppersonline.com, without having to sign up. Upon signing up we do offer training, which consists of two practice assignments. ProShoppersOnline does not benefiet from these practice assignments they are not sent to the store they are just for practice. We advise our customers to fill out these reports about a business that they have recently visited or planning on visiting. It is not mandatory to make a purchase or to actually go to the store; they can fill out the report about their last experience. The resume section of our site is designed to help customers in registering themselves as a secret shopper. The resume section is not mandatory but the tool is there for customer who need help with building a resume.
