Yes I have disputed with reporting agents and it will come off but I am closeing my refi monday the 25th so by the time everybody gets there aloted time to respond, it has cost me a higher rate and a lot of money in the long run. and the thing that realy gets me is I did nothing wrong other than try to be stand up guy and pay my debits. I dont know how you can judge a persons credit worthyness based on the system we have in place. It is unbelivable. And yes I would be very interested in joining a class action, in a hart beet.Anyone know a good lawyer?

This also happened to me when I checked my credit report about 6 months ago. I disputed the claims with the credit bureau's and the items were removed. Remember, when you dispute an item with the bureaus, the burden of proof is on the finance company reporting you. So, if Providian can't provide proof, or doesn't respond to the dispute, it's wiped clean.

I wouldn't stress over it. I suggest that you dispute it with all the credit bureaus instead of calling these idiots up. it seems like they are just playing stupid.

We are going on five years with providian I have faxed time and time again, however I did find out that thye filed for bankrupty and they sold all of their settlement account over to marriot showing that these people including me never paid anything, I think we should have a class action lawsuit!
