Rumors are that,Publix has a habit of placing milk on the shelves up to 5 HOURS after delivery. Many people wonder why after shopping at PUBLIX they often come down with some kind of FOOD POISONING.That could be one of the reasons.Ive spoken to employees of the store who have confirmed this is true. This is just one of MANY abuses PUBLIX is guilty of.

I worked for Publix for 18 years,I am retired now and worked in the meat, dairy ,cheese etc,all the products come in the same back delivery door and i was there almost every morning when we got these deliverys,Publix system of delivering perishiables if much better than other companies i have worked at or seen, there coolers, cooler doors are built wide enough to allow a pallet and pallet jack to be pulled from the truck into the coolers directly and the pallets are left in the coolers untill the milk or dairy dept and or meat people depending on what the delivery is gets done unloading that delivery and then they unload it,its never not in transit from a truck to a cooler 99% of the time. The gentleman from New York that left this report is mistaken and as he lives in Mew York where there are no Publixs,How would he know anyway,Take it from someone who does know, you do not have to worrie about Publix milk or perishiables getting warm,I unloaded them at many stores in my carreer over 18 years and ,someone aparently has an axe to grind againsted publix on this one.

I find it amazing that people of work for a great company like Publix would tell customers about unsafe procedures. The next time you are in a Publix store look at the dair section, how is the milk loaded in that store. Most of all Publix stores load all milk, creamers from the cooler. When dairy is delievered it is pulled off the truck and wheeled into the coolers to be off - stacked. The store you speak of must have very angry employees. I have been with this company for over 25 years and only time dairy has been out temp was when hurricanes shut down all power to stores, and even then we refused to sell any product to the consumers.
