Report is NOT False. I've been contacted over and over again by people asking me for help because they either believe or know Pug Hearts has their beloved family member. It's July 17, 2018 and I've been contacted once again. It's such a sad thing. I am just amazed that people can and will hurt someone by pugnapping their family. How they can live with themselves and sleep at night is beyond me. God have mercy on their soul.

I believe that Pug Hearts has a unique and valued purpose, I believe at one time they may have even been pure at heart, but I also believe that they have taken the origional purpose and have perverted it.
I believe that they probably do some amazing things for dogs that are truly in need of rescue and this is truly admirable, but just because a dog is not with its owner when they recieve it, it does not mean that that owner is unfit. It is obvious when a dog has been well cared for and lost or it is neglected and abandoned.
Many a child has wondered off from a parent and two seconds later that parent is in utter panic and maybe even the child, but once reunited both have learned a valued lesson It does not mean the parent is unfit or that the child does not want to, or shoud, be removed from that home.
I believe that Pug Hearts in looking for a "Suitable" owner for each and every animal they recieve, but that does not mean they have any desire to return a pug to the rightful owner if they deem that the rightful owner is in their eyes "Unsuitable", which in my case was a choice to not nueter and breed my dog.
Whether or not I chose to breed my dog is a personal choice and is not up for judgement by Pug Hearts, but keeping someone else's dog or personal property could be considered stealing, and my dogs needed to be found and returned, but certainly not "rescued" from me.
My Pugs were on Heartworm Preventative, Monthly meds to keep them flea free, had all their vaccinations and annual vet care. My pugs were cared for and most importantly loved! I was loved back!
Finally, notice in their rebuttal, Pug Hearts never said they do not know where my pugs are!
Seems to me Pug Hearts uses the "heartworms" excuse to keep a dog or put them in quarantine while figuring out what to do with them or how to hide them. Just ask James. In his case, they used that excuse as well, and James' Pug did not and does not have heartworms either.
Please use caution when dealing with Pug Hearts Houston, Pug Hearts, Pug Hearts Rescue!

LOOK AT THE TWO PICTURES IN THE ORIGINAL POST.
ISN'T THE RESEMBLENCE CLOSE ENOUGH THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO SEE IF "ZACH" WAS CHIEF? If "Zach" wasn't Chief, they why not allow me to see the Pug? Why not allow me to see if "Zach" knows me?
IF THEY ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN RETURNING PETS TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNER, THEN WHY DID THEY REFUSE TO ALLOW ME TO SEE IF ANY OF THEIR DOGS WERE MINE? Instead of just telling me, "he can't be yours, he is an owner surrender". or "he can't be yours, you said yours were on heartworm preventative, that one in the picture has heartworms". The next thing I know, I am blocked from your website!
I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO SEE ANY OF THEIR DOGS! NOT ONE! THEN THEY BLOCK ME FROM THEIR WEBSITE!
ISN'T THIS INDICATION ENOUGH THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN UNITING PETS TO THEIR OWNERS?
It is my opinion, Pug Hearts is willing to adopt out any pet they "feel" they "rescued" from an owner, they deem unfit, even if that owner is looking for their pet.
Whomever adopted "Zach" in the picture above very well may have adopted Chief!
Be very careful in dealing with Pug Hearts, you could be adopting a pet someone is searching for!

First off, all of my children are grown. I did NOT have a young daughter in 2009 as indicated.
Secondly, Cindy (I believe that is her name) at Pug Hearts flat out told me because I did not neuter my Pugs and let Chief breed to have Ditto, my other Pug that was stolen, I was UNFIT as a Pug Owner. It was irrevelant to her that I lived in Norwood Young America, MN when I got Chief at 5 weeks old. I drove over 8 hours to the nearest breeder to get him. After I realized what great pets Pugs are, my girlfriend decided she wanted one. After days searching, she too ended up driving 8 hours to get her Pug. Once we realized there were few breeders in Minnesota, we decided to have a batch of Pugs to GIVE AWAY to elderly people in our area. That is exactly what we did! I kept Ditto because I physically breathe life into him.
Recently, Pug Hearts did the same with another man I will call James. He did NOT take it. He hired an Attorney and he was eventually given his Pug back after filing suit to take it to court.
Below is a copy of an email that I was sent from James, after he found this report on ripoff.

Myself and PugHearts are very sorry that Ms. Weisel's pugs went missing back in 2009. As a non profit pug rescue, PugHearts has saved over 1400 unwanted and neglegted pugs in the Houston area in the last 7 years. Part of what we do is help reunint missing dogs with their owners because of our vast network.
That being said, PugHearts does not now, nor has ever had Ms. Weisel's pugs. When she initially contacted us we reviewed all the animals that were found around the time her dogs went missing. We even welcomed her at several public events and shared our condolences with her about her missing dogs.
However, Ms. Weisel became convinced that we had her dogs and were hiding them from her. At several events she attendend she fixated on a dog, belieiving it to be hers. I was personally fostering one dog she fixated on. She sent her young daughter to call the dog over. My heartbroke because I could see the hope in the little girls eyes as she called for her dog with her mother encouraging the whole thing. But this dog could not have possibly belonged to Ms. Weisel because she was an owner surrender to us just months before and was the wrong gender! This replayed multiple times over several years with Ms. weisel fixating on one dog or another. Each time the back story of the animal did not even remotly match with Ms. Weisel's timeline.
Ms. Weisel's grief from the loss of her dogs became a fixation and she started to publicly bash PugHearts whenever she believed a new dog was hers. Sometimes she would even fixate on our members personal pets. Her words continued to escalte over the years and as she said, we were forced to block her from our page.
We sincerly hope that Ms. Weisel finds peace, but do not agree with her attack on PugHearts. Reguardless of how she feels about us, we will continue to rescue and rehabilitate pugs in our area.
