In May I purchased a Vapor Clean Desiderio Plus. I was told that it could be used to clean just about anything from carpets to an old bbq grill using only steam. This interested me as my family suffers from allergies and asthma and using cleaners only exasberates our symptoms. I happily purchased the product online never at all seeing any disclaimer in regard to it being a "non returnable" which I would have thought would be highly visable on the page when purchasing it online - it wasn't. I received my Vapor Clean and immediately took it out to familiarize myself with it a bit. When working it at first I was confused as there was very little steam coming out of the product. I decided to give it a whirl on one of my carpets which had light soil from my dogs muddy paws. Not the kind of soil that sould be hard to remove by any means. I worked the carpet over and over trying to remove the spots but they did not come up. I spent an hour with cusomer support who walked me through the process ... still no luck. I gave up for the day. The next day I pulled it back out  - not easy it is heavy, bulky and extremely exhausing to clean after use. I turned it on and let the pressure build up in the tank in order to use full steam. Again trying the spots on my carpet. NO LUCK. So I got down on my hands and knees with a rag and some elbow grease and out came the spots. Seriously? 20 minutes with the Desiderio and nothing, 5 minutes with a rag and viola! I also noticed that in order to use full steam on the product you have to constantly wait for the tank to repressurize - It took me ALL DAY to do a carpet having to constantly wait for the pressure tank with terrible end results which were now a wet dirty carpet. Great! I called the company and tried nicely (VERY nicely) to start the return process. I explained my disappointment and frustration. The gal I spoke with said "oh, you'll need to use a chemical to clean the spots from your carpet". WHAT! I told her the whole reason I purchased it was to clean without chemicals which their website boasts about. She told me that I could not return the product and said that if I searched their website I should have seen that there is a disclaimer about the product not being returnable. Again, WHAT! I would have NEVER spent over a grand for something that I could not return if not satisfied. So now I am in a dispute battle with my credit card company. The told my credit card company that I am not using the product correctly and that I am trying to take advantage of the system. Seriuously? They also said that I would need to return the product in order to get a refund BUT when ever I call them for a return address they laugh and tell me it's not returnable! They play games and are hugely disconnected when it comest to customer service. All I want to do is return it (It weighs 60 plus lbs - and I don't feel that should be out of my pocket for a misrepresented and defective product). Even though they tell the company I can return it - they won't supply me with a shipping lable or a return address. I am chasing my tail. I would never take advantage of the system it's not my style however it seems to be Pure Green International's MO. Several other complaints exactly like this one out there so buyer beware! They seem great when you are making a purchase but once that purchase lands in your hands YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN!
