I am another victim. This company ripped me off. They made me pay 70% cash at the beginning then they said 30% due on the day of delivery. After 4 weeks I contacted them because the 21 days legal period passed. They said they are still waiting the remainder. WHAT!!!! They never contacted me asking for the remainder and it was supposed to be collected on the delivery day.

The lady said no, and I signed the contract. I moved to Virginia, and today, the 5th week, I called again, my stuff are still in california, and they said, that they need at least 21 business days to arrive. I do not even know if my stuff will arrive, but within my stuff, I have a box containing exam materials that is worth a million dollars to me right now. I have over $10000 property with those theives, but this box is worth evething, I would trade that box with everything else.

This is also not to say, that they quoted me $2300 at first, and on the pick up day they increased to $3100, I had to sign because my flight was on the afternoon of that day and I didn't have a choice. The lady threatened me that I signed a contract. Yes they made me sign tons of paperwork, but I didn't know what to do and couldn't say no. I am in desperate need for help right now. I need that box out of everything, I hope it's not lost or damaged, it will take me years of work to catch up with that huge loss.

Since no governmental agency can help you or properly oversee the industry, I would go to moverescue.com, and call the number indicated on the website.  They may be able to assist you in getting all your items, not just the box you need.  Best of luck to you....

Here is contact info for you for the company you listed in the complaint. Their website is actually under a different name:  PureMovers.com

Please enter their license number for further information to track them down to see where you stuff is located. Their lic number, according to their website is MTR0191103.

What does your contract say?

I'm not taking the side of the mover at all. I think the moving business is filled with scammers and you have to be so careful about checking who is actually going to move you and get their binding quotes in writing at your premises long before they ever send a truck. Anything else and you take the chance of a bad moving company holding your stuff hostage for more money.
