I had received a phone call from PureSpin Golf Company regarding a 30 days free trial of golf clubs. I asked the person if it is the manufacturer of PureSpin golf clubs, and he said yes. I accepted the offer on October 22nd, 2002 and gave them my credit card number. The company has charged $1326.95 on my credit card account, the sale person told me that the charged amount would be refunded when the products were returned with a return authorization number after completion of the 30 days trial, and the contracted stated the same. I have called the company for return authorization number after 30 days from receipt of the product. It took over one month for me to contact the company since no one had answered my phone calls nor replied to a fax I had sent to them. I finally talked to a person, who answered the phone, on December 9, 2002 and got the return authorization number from someone who was responsible for return of the product whose name was Richard. I sent the golf clubs to PureSpin Golf Company on December 10, 2002 by FedEx, it was received by R. James on December 12, 2002. I have called the company many times while waiting for the refund to be made to my credit card account. Yet, almost always no one has answered to my phone calls. I faxed my request for returning the charged amount to my credit card three times total on Feb. 11, 2003, March 28, 2003, and April 9, 2003. No response has been made except the one time that someone from the company returned my call in January 2003. I was told that the process of a refund had been delayed for system changes. -Now I knew that it was because of 60 days credit card fraud protection we could have claimed if we suspected it was a scam.- I have kept making phone calls to the company's two different toll-free numbers listed on the contract. The phone numbers are 888-721-9221 and 877-528-8225. Someone who answered my call to 888-721-9221 directed me to call the other number and talk to Wayne Fernandes. I have not received any response to my messages from him. On June 17, 2003, I called those numbers, and talked with Charley on 888-721-9221. Charley said that 877-528-8225 is a toll-free number of a different company which sells the product and 888-721-9221 is the number of the manufacturer. He also said that PureSpin Golf company is using their phone number and that they are going to disconnect the toll-free number, 888-721-9221, because of the complaints they have been receiving. Okay. -Now it is a different company which is a criminal, thank you for telling me that.- I have found similar complaints to this company on this website, and realized that the 30 day free trial was a fraud. I filed a consumer protection claim, I bed so manu people have been victimized by this company.
