Purity Products Sent a "FREE SAMPLE" minus $7.95 S&H... but it cost me $59.00 MORE! Plainview New York
I ordered a "free trial" of the purity mineral collection. Or is it Mineral Science? Or is it Purity, by Mineral Science? It was "only" $1.00, plus $7.95 shipping and handling. Upon ordering, I e-mailed the company to discontinue, as I just wanted to try the product. I was told if I cancelled, I would not be billed for anything.
Lo and behold, after receiving the 3 small lip gloss sized pots of powder, which I can't imagine is even 2 weeks worth of a sample, i forgot about it. Two weeks later, I was billed $59.00 on my bank statement, which triggered a bunch of other "insufficient fund fees" due to transferring money out of my savings account.
I called and it was explained to me that the "sample" I got should have been returned (I thought that's what the $7.95 was for) so WHERE DID MY $59.00 go? That went to the "2-month free trial" and if I didn't want it (if I sneezed it would have blown all over my bathroom) to return it. I thought that was the $7.95 sample.....so where did my $59.00 go to? Its not even the amount so much, but a company can rip off people like that. Please contact me if you would like, I have all the correspondence to back up my problems.
Oh, and the customer service rep I did get in touch with - needs a little more training on how to deal with customers!

I apologize that this customer was not happy with the customer service agent they spoke with. If they would like to file a complaint they should call our service line and request to speak with the supervisor. If they do not know who they spoke with initially, the agent they talked to is logged into our system. The phone number is 1-866-363-6797. Also, I recommend this customer read the terms and conditions when signing up for offers in the future. Our Terms and Conditions clearly state the $1 trial plus shipping and handling is for 2 weeks on a 2 month supply. If the customer does not contact us within the trial period to cancel their membership they will be billed the full price of the product. If they do contact us to cancel the membership we will provide them with return instructions. They will then have 30 days to return the product. If the product is not returned within the 30 days they will be billed the full price of the product. The product this customer ordered is Purity Mineral Makeup. The amount of makeup sent to her does last 60 days for most customers depending on use. The container size and contents are comparable to other mineral makeup companies such as Bare and Raw. The company reported, Purity Products in Plainview, NY, does not do beauty products. Purity by Mineral Science is not Purity Products. Just an FYI for anyone doing research on Purity Products. Thanks
