Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Do not ever send your computer to this company.  I recently was able to upgrade to a new computer, and I bought a model in a similar price range as my orginal laptop.  I thought I would send my old laptop to a company to trade it in for money, rather than letting it sit and go to waste.  After visiting multiple websites, I chose to send it to Quick Laptop Cash because they offered the most money in their quote.  I should have searched for reviews about them before sending it out, so I am going to save everyone the trouble and tell my experience. During the quote process, you choose any defects to your computer.  My laptop was very well taken care of and I had the original cables, software, and user manual for it.  The screen wasn't broken or scratched, there was virtually no scuffs on the computer itself, the battery lasted at least an hour, and it was lightning fast.  After choosing the options that it was in that condition, I received a quote for $148.  Even though I originally bought the computer for $300+, I figured it was reasonable given it was almost 3 years old and packaged it and sent it to them.  Once they received it, they sent me an email saying the inspection process had begun and I would receive confirmation when they were done.

A couple days later, I received another email saying they had found multiple problems with the computer and the amount I would be receiving was $70!!!!  That is less than half of the original quote!  I immediately called their "1-800", only for it to ring three times and some guy on the phone saying "Hello, this is Mike"....Needless to say I could tell what kind of "company" this was, but I expressed my concern.  This Mike guy was naming all sorts of problems with my computer and said that was the firm set price.  I expressed that it was unacceptable and the problems he said it had were made up.  He said there was a "loose screw" on it which decreased the value, he said the battery was bad.  He said a few other things that were not true.  I am very picky with my stuff and take care of everything and anything I own.  I told him it either it must have been damaged through the delivery or he was lieing, but he argued with me and said "that wasn't there problem and he wasn't lieing".  I then told Mike that I would like it sent back to me then since the quote I was given was nowhere near what I would be receiving.  He told me that was not a problem and they would send it back if I paid 35 dollars.  Are you kidding me?  I asked if I could please speak with a supervisor, given the circumstances.  He replied "I am the supervisor".  It was something out of the twilight zone.

All I have to say is that this company is a total scam.  They give you a high end quote so you send it to them and once they receive it, they "discover problems" so they can "warrant" there absurd deduction from the original quote they give you.  Please do not ever send anything to them, I am surprised I even received my payment. Total liars, receivers, and scammers with a disregard to customer service and common courtesy.
