Mr. Axhandlebill, If you are a veteran, than was your original loan a VA loan (the one you refinanced?) If so, was Quicken doing a VA IRRRL (streamline) refinance for you? If the answer is yes, then a credit report and appraisal would not have been needed. It looks like Quicken kept money out of your deposit for the credit report, but if they were doing the VA IRRRL refi for you, no credit report should have been run. The full deposit should have been given back to you.

So you go to a dealer to buy a car and put a deposit on the car to hold the car that clearly has in writing the deposit agreement. The next day you find another dealer who has the same car maybe for less.Do you think the first dealer will give your deposit back that you gave them to hold your car that they could have sold to someone else?
