I called Qwest for new phone service. Service was not instigated on day it was supposed to be. Then they sent out a tech without telling me so he couldn't get in the bldg, and supposedly he left a note on the door, which he didn't.

Then they started calling my old number, which I never gave them. And pulled a credit report which I had specifically asked them not to, as it would lower my credit score, and this also put my new address on the credit reporting services, which I didn't want, as was using a PO Box for all other billing to maintain privacy.

When I called to find out more about why a tech needed to come out, got rude customer service. So cancelled installation and was still getting calls from techs wanting to install. When called to complain about credit report being run without my permission or knowledge, was transferred three times and all put me on hold and forgot about me/left me to hang up.

All were rude or incompetent. I've lived in Mpls all my life and have never gotten good service from Qwest. I will never use them again and suggest you don't either!

hi i also live in the mpls mn, area i has gotten quest when i moved into my new home they were 14 days late to install they charged me for those days i had no service install fee i was told was 30 but when i got first bill it 155 for install i installed all wiring inside house then here comes the best part i ordered a single line phone no long distants or anything else my sec month bill came it was are u ready $1793.98 i instantly blew my wig no way i called them they told me they had explained if i wired my house they would charge me for them not doing it..hahah i dont think so i told them i then took them to court here in mn and was awarded the sum of $9000.00 for all the problems false billing and what not i won the case for 1 reason i had used a inline tape recorder and taped all conversations with them when they found this out they filed an appeal and counter claim that i illegally taped them well in the long run i said in a very soft voice well the customer rep was speaking this call is being recorded for quility control purpose's lol the judge found this very amussing so did i but cause i did that the judge threw out there case it has been 2 yrs now since the court dates and i now 1 month ago got my payment of $9000.00 from them so i do suggest if u live in mn u do have an opption of phone service providers so make your choice wisely
