My name is Mirghani Hassan. This piece is on the crookedness of Adam Salviani and his Raider
Publishing International (RPI).  Fatally, I fell for the swindler who goes by the name of Adam Salviani, the managing director of RPI.  Prior to the signing of a contract for publishing my book, Mr Salviani showed an
extraordinary degree of courtesy and efficiency: answering emails promptly, calling back and, most importantly, speaking with an out-of-this world tone of respect and curtsey.

On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, I signed a publishing contract at RIPs offices, located at the Empire State Building in New York.  Salviani signed on behalf of RPI. I paid very nearly $4900 for a fast-track publishing of my book The General and the Frogs.  A detailed production Program (the Program) was agreed and initialled.

In accordance with the Program, the Cover Design (the first delivery) was to take place by the last day of October 2012.  About ten days prior to that date,  it became very clear that Salviani has a 1000 faces; the ugliest of which are only discovered post-signature and payment.  He disappeared from the radars; his secretarys standard answer was: he was busy; he is away on mission; he is a meeting, etc.  I was hoping to get him to send me the cover design by October 26, just 5 days before the deadline, because I was travelling until November 3rd.  Forget about writing emails after youd paid RPI. When I couldnt get any answer, I immediately terminated the contract and asked for a refund.  By that time (the first week of November) RPI had not spent a penny on my book.  A refund was therefore legally due to me.

To this day Salviani refuses to refund my money.  However, my rights will not go away nor will they lapse by time.  I intend to pursue Salviani and his scam RIP as long as Im alive.  In the meantime, however, I want to warn all prospective authors: beware Adam Salviani and his RPI.
