In 2010 I paid Adam Salviani, the owner of Raider Publishing International based in New York, $2500 to publish a book for me.

He sent me a contract which I signed and returned to him, but despite my repeated emails to ask him when he will sign the contract and return it to me, and his repeated emails along the lines of 'it is in the post' the contract never arrived. By then I had big doubts about him and his company, and on advice from writers, I kept quiet about the contract.

He did not let me know in advance that the book was to be published, so in 2010 I learned that it had been published a month earlier (in August 2010) by typing my name into a search engine.

No clause in his so-called contract did he honor.  He did not send me the 30 free copies of the book; he did not do any promotion for the book; the book was not made available in book stores; and the book was not given a review on his website or in his monthly magazine or on his radio station.

After very many emails from me to ask about the free copies, did he send them to me.

The book's production was also of very poor quality with numerous typing errors throughout the book and even on the back cover.  He had also omitted pages which I had sent to him to put in the book: an author's note for example and recommendations by authors.

Much more serious was that he did not pay me royalties. Eventually, last year (2012) after very many angry emails from me did he pay me the royalties for the first quarter after the book's publication: in other words for the months of August, September and October 2010. Since then I've only had excuses like 'the check got lost', 'I will make enquiries with my bank',  'I will make inquiries and come back to you soon', or 'it was Christmas and we were closed', or 'it was Thanksgiving and we were off'.

In November 2012 I emailed him that I wish to regain the print copyright of my book: he held only the print copyright. Only in January 2013, and after I've sent him very many more emails and threatened him with the law, did he email me that he will stop distributing the book and that the print rights will revert back to me dating from December 31,2012. In other words, from April 1, 2013 I will hold the print rights of the book as well as all the other rights.

Now, February 2013, he does not reply to my emails. These are emails in which I am asking him to pay me my royalties that date back to January 2011. He has also not sent me the latest sale report which he should have sent at the end of December 2012 and which was for April,May and June 2012.

Adam Salviani is still advertising his company Raider Publishing International on the Internet and he is still taking money from people to publish their books. He has also founded another publishing company.

A man like this should be prosecuted.

If there is any legal persons who wish to go into this matter, I can forward them the Raider Contract.

I thank you for publishing this.
