I called 2 May 2005 to cancell a reservation for 17 June- 22 June 2005, due to I will not recieve the time off form my employer. I was unprofessional serviced by "Warren" a "Manager" Hanging up on me more than six times, being accused of "yelling" at them.

I paid for this trip on 31 March 2005 of $198 over the phone. With time until Sept. 2005 to use. No representive every voiced their will be "No Refund". In fact the Terms & Conditions never metion the words "No Refund."

I am not in the position to loss $257.00 less the fee for cancellation. All i want is a refund of the funds less the fee for cancellation. The terms read 7 days notice. I am giving them One month & 10 days notice.

The final payment of $58.00 was paid the late fart of April 2005. The refund should be granted.

I read another rip-off report dated May 3, 2005 on this site (do a search for the word "Ramada") from Htown, Texas that is titled "Ramada Plaza Resort Refund in 30 minutes Ft. Lauderdale Florida." He gave good advice on language to use should you choose to call Ramada Plaza Resorts. He specifically mentions using the word "cancel" and avoiding the word "refund" with regard to the Florida Sellers of Travel Act mentioned above. The rip-off report I am referring to on this site http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=141363 It's a good read and takes you step-by-step through how this person got their refund. If you don't wish to deal with them directly, you can call your credit card company if applicable. As listed on this site, ("Ramada Plaza Resorts Money back ASAP!! Fort Laderdale Florida") this person had a three-way conference call with her credit card company and the rip-off artists on the line. Her credit card company taped the conversation. She was given a full refund. http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=141418 Lastly, there is a case regarding Ramada Plaza Resorts pending in the Florida Attorney General's Office. Their Economic Crimes Division is the one investgating this case, Case #L05-3-1053. You can reach the Economic Crimes Division directly by calling Voice: 850-414-3600, Fax: 850-488-4483. Good luck.

Florida has an act that took effect in 2004.. called the Sellers of Travel Act 2004. In this you have the right to cancel the contract without ANY penalty for up to 30 days after the date of purchase or receipt of voucher... whichever some later. I ran it through Google and got this. It also states that it illegal for them to refuse to give a full refund if the first thing is true. I'd suggest running it through Google yourself and finding the passage.. and then call them back and inform them of their failures in a very legal manner. And that failure to grant full refund of the money will result in a claim being file against their bond along with a strong chance of crimal action being taken. I got my cancellation of the thing and was promised a full refund. We'll see on the later, but I've already had a nice chat with my credit card company and was assured by them that if they fail, I have the right to dispute the charge under the fact that I did indeed cancel the package. So, talk to your credit card company AND RPR.. and KEEP DOING IT UNTIL YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT. If need be, tie up their lines for hours. Those hours you spend on the line is sales they are losing!
