Ramada Plaze Resorts ALL LIES! DON'T DO IT Fort Lauderdale Florida
I found this website too late. I had already put down my down payment, which I should have known was fishy because it went from a mandatory $399 minimum payment to atleast half of the $399. I found this website so I knew it might be difficult to get a refund but I thought I'll make the best of it.
Nothing but lies from the beginning. After finding this website and seeing all of the problems that everyone had been having I called them back and alerted them to my concerns I was promised by someone named Joan, on which I have tape recorded, that for my troubles I would be compensated with a upgrade on my room on the cruise to an oceanview room and an extra day in Orlando. That didn't happen we had a simple inside stateroom and my friends had even worse. Atleast we had beds they had to sleep on futons.
Like I said I brought friends along on the "bring a friend' special. They paid $600 and were told that they would have everything we had including their own hotel room, own food and own room on the cruise. They got their own hotel room however upon arrival at the welcome center we found that their food wasn't included as promised by Adrian Harry and his employee Tameka who both work in reservations. This mishap resulted in a huge argument with the rude supervisor at the Welcome Center.
The so called "free" rental car (which we had to upgrade to a full size car for an extra $100) that we were told we might have to pay some tax on turned out to cost the amount of what it would have been to rent a car and drive down from New Jersey to Fort Lauderdale.
Oh, and that no hassle tour you have to take turned out to be an exhausting 4 hour ordeal of harrassment to shell out more money. They didn't take no for an answer easily.
We ended up spending way moe money than we had anticipated. At every turn, every time we asked for answers no one had any. It was just a bunch of diversion. Taking your money with a smile and then turning around a spitting in your face. We only stayed in Fort Lauderdale and did the cruise. We have not yet done the stay in Orlando. I'm afraid to.
This was humiliating and embarassing to me because I was the reason everyone was induring this terrible experience. For my firends this was their first vacation ever and I'm sorry that this was the experience they had. At some point or another I think we all shed a tear.
Something need to be done about this. You think everything is legit because you see the Ramada name. I can't believe that the Ramada corporation is associated with such a scam. They are just taking people's money and then telling them after the fact that they can't get a refund.
