On April 7, 2004 I received a package from your company, dated March 31, 2004.

Included in this package was an offer to take a vacation with you on a trip to Orlando, FL; Nassau, Bahammas: and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This package was Reservation number STP033104, Confirmation number 274259857. Included in this package was a voucher #300601 [valued by your company] for $1600.00 towards this trip.

In addition there were Bonus Destinations of Puerto Vallarta, MX and Las Vegas, NV., if I called within 48 hours. I called in and was told over the phone that a third destination of Williamsburg, VA, would be included in my package if I were to accept the package at that time. I arranged for the initial acceptance of this package, with the provision that I could add more individuals at a later date.

On 04/08/2004 my account was credited by Ramada Plaza Resorts for a total of $719.00.

On October 24, 2004, I called in to your 1-800-980-9902 and eventually talked to Susan Thompson. I asked her if I could arrange for two more couples to be added to my package, and was told that it was possible, and that it would cost me $398.00 per couple to add them to the package. I was told that when we finally decided on when we were going to be traveling, that an additional cost would be assessed to all three accounts.

On 10/26/2004 my account was credited by Ramada Plaza Resorts for a total of $796.00.

On March 23, 2005, I called in and again talked to Susan, who told me that she no longer worked in sales, and would not be able to help me beyond this point. I gave her our itinerary, and she explained that an additional $397.00 per couple would be necessary to hold the itinerary, add the upgrades and finish out our trip.

On 03/24/2005 my account was credited by Ramada Plaza Resorts for a total of $1191.00.

On April 17, 2005 I was contacted by a representative who stated: "We did not charge your account enough for the upgrades you requested. You still owe us $148.00 per couple to complete the upgrades."

On 04/18/2005 my account was credited by Ramada Plaza Resorts for a total of $444.00.

The last two transaction was supposedly upgrading the three [3] accounts listed above. This upgrade was to be: A. From a sub-compact car to a compact car, which Alamo provided; B. Outside cabins on the ship for the cruise; and C. Setting each account with all amenities equal.

When we arrived in Orlando, and presented our coupon books to the agent there, I was told that the two accounts ending in BQ were eligible for double coupons, meal tickets, etc, but that my account, ending in GK was essentially worthless! Imagine my surprise!

After some discussion, I was at least able to obtain a meal voucher booklet for my account. I paid a total of $100 towards 2/1 [two for one] coupons for Universal Studios, and the other set was obtained by other means: Not done through your auspices.

When we boarded the ship for our cruise, the two couples with the BQ packages were housed on the Sun Deck, at the top of the liner, with a panoramic view of the trip. I was on the Main Deck, admittedly on the outside, but with a spectacular view of only the OCEAN! This was an upgrade?

Although we took the trip, the six of feel that a refund of funds for the obvious overcharges are necessary. Has anyone else taken the trip and attempted to get a refund? We would be very interested in hearing about it!

Please respond with any positive notes. Meanwhile I shall do as Groves, TX has done, and file my complaint with TX and FL Attorney's General, as well as Consumer Affairs Protection Division, et al.
