Complaint Review: Randstad US (Netherlands based) - Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Randstad is a staffing agency that just found it's way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in Greentree and Wexford . The company provides equal opportunity employment as hiring agency for temporary or temporary to permanent hire positions . I worked for them for approximately a month and filled 3 different offered positions locally . The work environments were extremely dangerous and charged with foul language using, cigarette smoking basic unskilled, uneducated ringmasters of poor labor practice environments .

When one imagines an Indian or Chinese sweat shop filled with hazards this is the United States Of America's equivalent in terms of risk . Considering the awareness of the semi-aware, semi-friendly staffers at the headquarters I would be very offended if this scam continued to operate on American soil where adults and children risk exposure to less than acceptable environments and personnel . 

Let me further explain some of the risks involved . Cold factories and back rooms with heavy materials, boxes, and packages that need to be sorted or assembled quickly . When teamed with unsavory unknown local characters it begs for merciless muscle strains, tears, breaks, cuts, abrasions, skin drying and altering from the harshness of the rubbing and pulling and working in quick tempo, hurry yourself to complete meaningless tasks for a no difference, no name, worthless company or corporation shipping chain . You will risk spinal injuries as well . Not to mention daily working with cutting tools at high pace equals fast nasty cuts . Then consider you may be with shadowy possibly untrustworthy individuals for long periods of time and then spend more time with them as you leave exhausted, hungry and tired .

A man could injure himself without proper training before heading into one of these positions . And bare in mind I had experience in the realm of such practices due to mishandling of my abilities and duties while in another government position in the past . I am ashamed that someone's child or even aging parent might end up irreparably hurt because of a fraudulent hiring agency . The understaffed areas you are assigned to have very poor working chemistry with the in charge individuals . Basic barking orders are issued and off your are .

Completely unsure of how much work will need to be done daily . And next to no chance that one of these one to two weeks positions of labor will retain your services for any long term employment (an unjustly used temporary "slave"). You are also guaranteed to not learn one thing and all the while you will lead or be lead by a no name unknown character of random probability . The environments screamed for a priest to help keep the faith, and ambulance to pick up the body parts, and a Mother to put everyone's heart back together again . 

I was also very very offended by the immoral speak issued by every single person in the worse environments . After my four weeks or so of having this as my back up second job to afford the expensive bad Pittsburgh local economy they let me know they probably wouldn't try to send me anywhere else because I had intelligence, skill, and sense . They can't afford anyone who is expensive or highly trained, so don't allow this foreign company another American's time again ! This was the least I could put out there for the local seeker or responsible citizen . My real job is as a full time security officer and I do my job well keeping this city safe when I am around . Please always remain within the guidelines of the law and as aware of your surroundings and of those around you, for their safety and your own . Thank you .
