Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company is, in my opinion, a total fraud.  They work in tandem with another scammer named Steve Chastain, who claims to be a public adjuster, from Nation Wide Public Adjusters.  They took advantage of my special-needs brother and elderly father.  They charged an outrageous amount of money to begin remediation, ripped out my brother's kitchen (leaving only a utility sink), conned my father out of financial advances, took insurance money, and have left the job uncompleted.

They will not return money rightfully due us, and will not return calls or correspondence.  It's been a year. Their "address" is a post office box.  As far as I can tell, they frequently change company names, so if you are unfortunate enough to need remediation services, do not use any company associated with Drew Pursley or Steve Chastain.

You are better letting your house burn, flood, or rot than throw your money away to these unconscionable theives.  We are currently pursuing legal action.  Please contact me if you'd like to join forces.

Proceed with caution with Nation Wide Public Adjusters

To Mr. Chastain at Nation Wide Public Adjusters:

I never claimed that you made repairs to the property, or that you had ownership or had been employed by Rapid Restore USA.  That being said, you and the owner of Rapid Restore, Drew Pursley, definitely have an association going back many years (HomeSmart Services, anyone?).

You looked my elderly, cancer-ridden father in the eyes and told him, " I work for you and I'll work with the contractors to make sure this job is done."  I have no doubt that the papers he signed in the heat of the moment are legal, and absolve you of any responsibility between verbal assurances you made to a desperate elderly father and what you actually did.

What you actually did, in our case, was take an exorbitant percentage of the insurance settlement (forging the bank's signature!) of 25%, and become unresponsive.  You set up appointments and cancelled them at the last moment, knowing he lived 50 miles away.  You didn't return phone calls.  You didn't return e-mails until we hired a lawyer and sent you certified letters.

Mr. Chastain, we signed a mutual release because it was the only way to get you off the job and get the work done on my special-needs brother's house.  We, in essence, had to pay to fire you; otherwise, you wouldn't release the balance of the funds.

What you did to my family is, in my opinion, criminal.  You, in my opinion (and as I've e-mailed you directly) took advantage of a terrible situation, and the only recourse I have is to share my experience with as many people through as many avenues as possible, but, believe me, I am NOT spreading bad information.  The truth is bad enough.

We are not a Contractor.

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Good afternoon to all who may read this,

I Steven E. Chastain or Nation Wide Public adjusters, Inc. Have never had ownership or been employed by Rapid Restore USA they were a repair contractor that had us to help their customers/clients on a case by case basics. Nation Wide Public Adjusters, Inc. And Steven E. Chastain, we are Public Insurance Adjusters we help clients with their property insurance claims.

We have never made any repairs to Anyone's property we have worked with many contractors over the eight years we have been in business. I was made aware of some issues between the homeowner and the contractor, visited the property twice met with the homeowner and his contractor both times after that the homeowner hired an attorney and at that point we removed ourselves from the claim by having the homeowner and Nation Wide Public Adjusters,Inc. Sign a full mutual release.

This means the homeowner can continue his claim and his dealings with his Insurance company and his contractor without our involvement. I have never received a message or any correspondence on this claim after I forwarded the signed release to their attorney.

I am very sorry To hear this report and I understand how he must feel, but we have no control over contractors or the work they perform. The person who file this complaint should get the facts before spreading bad information.
