At Ready Cars Inc. readycarsinc.com/, I was greeted with a friendly smile by a man named Mike. I had my five month daughter and tow and my 70 year old mother. At first Mike seemed to want to genuinely help us to get into a car. When it came to financial aspects of the deal things began to get shady however. We wanted to put 1000 dollars down on the car. Mike told us that if we could 1500 down, the extra 500 would cover: tax, tag, title, and fees. He also said that the 1000 dollars down would come off the price of the car. I remember him marking the car down to the 8000 dollar range. When Mike did the paper work, he marked the car back up to the 9000 dollar ranged and explained it away with financing costs. Since, I'm not an expert, I went a long with it reluctantly. I had only five month old daughter with me at that point in the deal. He also added 4 dollars onto the monthly payment to account for tax, tag, title, and fees that may not be covered. Again, I agreed for the sake of getting out of there. I did not have a good feeling about him. I shouldn't have agreed so easily. I should have been more assertive. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert when it comes to car sales. Additionally Mike asked to hold my five month old daughter. She is cute. I let him but when I asked for her back, he shoved my hands away. She was crying because he was talking in a creepy tone of voice and put her face up to hers, scratching her with his beard. Now Mike is demanding another 200 some odd dollars for the cost of the tax, title, tags, that was supposed to be covered by the extra 500 we had put down. I had told him that I should have a credit in the system but, I clearly heard his secretary tell him to run as though I don't have a credit. They seemed to have checked it out. Now he wants almost 300 more for tax, tag, title fees. Does this sound like a fair company to you?
