Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I left numerous message for Wyatt and Susan that were never returned.   When I was able to speak with someone finally, I was told they prefer not to rent to "singles".   I am a 42 year old single woman, income over 65K/yr with the same company for 7 years and excellent credit, told my Real Property Management that they would not lease to me because I did not have a dual income home.   When I questioned this, I was told that I would not be a likely candidate because I did not have a man in the home to fix things when broken.   Isn't that the job of the Property Management Company?????   I was further told my the representative, Susan that this is not the market for rentors and they can afford to be as discriminating as they want to be.   In the month that I attempted to have a vieweing of a home, I was consistently denied and phone calls never returned.

Just a Forum?

If Ripoff Reports are "just a forum" why are they so powerful and further, why is Real Property Management listed so many times?   In addition try some other sites (not allowed to list them on here) but think hard about a very famous one that is regualted by the business industries of each city (hint hint) and another is a housing government agency----Real Property Management is listed on this other site over 42 times in the last 18 months.  Search "Real Property Mangement", and look under the Colorado listings (yep, they have complaints ALL OVER the USA  :(   )---I guarantee you will spend a day if not more reading about unhappy tenants and landlords.

However, given your most recent rebuttal, I have decided to file a formal case with both agencies that will help me legally on Monday.   I have collected my phone records, E-mails, and yes, the famous recorded phone call where a representative of your company did tell me that your company can "afford to be discriminating".

See you soon!

I stand 100% by my statement. I have many other single women that I have shown properties to and that have rented from RPM. I can easily back up everything I have stated.

You have twisted what I said, the consequences were what could happen to me not you.

It is great that you have a recorded conversation, it would definitely prove not to be me.

I know without a shadow of a doubt I never said any of the things you listed in your complaint.

I suppose this will never get resolved since this is only a complaint forum. I do feel bad that you have had some kind of bad experience, yet I still know that I, personally, did not do any of this.

Could you possibly give more information on this? At least one of the properties you left messages for and the date?

Inflammatory?

Susan's rebuttal is untrue.   She did tell me it was a rentors market and did deny me the right to see a property based on the fact that I am female.   Further, the contact persons for Real Property Management (Wyatt and the Receptionist) did not return my numerous phone calls and never set up any appointments for me to see several of thier listings.

Susan, I would LOVE the chance to experience the "serious consequences" you threaten me with in your rebuttal.....bring it and let's go to COURT.     I have the conversation recorded   :)

#5REBUTTAL Individual responds

Sat, September 08, 2012

I am responding on behalf of myself, having been named in this complaint. It reads like I am the one who said all the things in complaint. During the two years I have been unemployed I obtained my real estate license to help me get back on my feet. I very recently started with RPM doing the showings for Wyatt.

I have worked very hard taking the calls, and returning all calls I am given and those left on my phone, even if it means calling in the evening when I get home.  I set the appointments for showings and talk to many people each day, from all walks of life. I have never used the phrase "market for renters" or "renters market" or any of the such, that is not the way I talk. I love working with people and being professional is important to me.  To discriminate, as this complaint states, goes against everything that I have ever stood for, even before getting my license. This complaint goes way beyond a customer service complaint against a company. It carries some serious legal consequences that could cause my license to be suspended and fines imposed.

I am a single parent myself, and have been for some time, so saying we won't rent to a single female or a single income home is nonsense. The complaint about "having a man around to fix things"  is also false.I live with family and one makes his living doing repairs for the tenants of RPM so that would be taking income away from our household.

I do not know which property you had inquired about (you chose not to include it, which might shed light on the situation) and what the actual facts surrounding your issue are, yet these statements are pretty inflammatory and can lead to some very serious consequences for someone else. It is great to have a place to voice complaints about companies to help consumers, yet I think those that do, need to be careful to not embellish the facts with perhaps their feelings or frustration at the company.
