On March 5, 2014, I listened to a "Webinar" hosted by Phil Rosenberg of "reCareered.com." At the end of the Webinar, Mr. Rosenberg solicited participants to sign up for career and resume services, which included viewing of videos purporting to train clients on how to increase the effectiveness of their job searches. Mr. Rosenberg bills himself as a "expert" in this area. I signed up for these services, and paid Mr. Rosenberg $597 via PayPal that same evening.

A key reason I signed up for these services right away was that Mr. Rosenberg stated that he offered a 100% money back satisfaction guarantee. On the signup screen, the following was published: "All purchases 100% guaranteed to your satisfaction or your money back." I have a copy of this guarantee, for reference. After a couple of weeks of not being able to access the introductory videos, I wrote to Mr. Rosenberg on March 24 for assistance.

He wrote me back, and told me that I could access his videos by clicking some links that were set forth in his weekly emails. I tried to access these videos, but to no avail. Also, there is nothing published on his Web site which gives his clients access to anything they have purchased. I wrote back to Mr. Rosenberg several times, and continued to receive the same worthless advice from him.

Finally, in complete frustration, I wrote to Mr. Rosenberg on April 2, and requested a refund pursuant to his "satisfaction guarantee." Mr. Rosenberg did not reply to my email. I wrote back to him several times, asking for a refund, but at no time did I receive a reply. At this point, I must conclude that Mr. Rosenberg has no intention of honoring his "satisfaction guarantee."

Phil Rosenberg is, quite simply, a thief and a liar. He solicits his LinkedIn contacts, so be sure to stay clear of him. And warn your friends and family, if you care about them. One of the most evil things anyone can do is to defraud people who are desperately looking for a job in our bad economy. Phil Rosenberg and his "reCareered" business should be shut down.
