I doubt a lawyer will do you much good but it will not hurt to ask one. If you paid any of the charges on a credit card, dispute the charges. Most of the time this company demands cash (RED FLAG) so I am pretty sure that is how you paid them. Spend a little time doing the following. It may not get YOUR money back but it may prevent them from doing this to someone else.
File a report with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Their website is www.protectyourmove.gov. They will investigate the practices of these scam artists.
Also file a report with the Better Business Bureau. Many consumers will investigate a company here before doing business with them.
Report them to the Attorneys General of Florida (because they claim their corporate office is there) and New Jersey (where they apparently operate).
Let's make sure they do not get away with this bad business practice!!!!!

So when you contacted the lawyer, set up and met with him/her with your contract/cancelled check and the name of the person who did finally sign off on delivery of items, What did the Lawyer say?
Technically you have a case, but I am almost sure you need a lawyer to shake the money tree to get your monies back. Get a Lawyer.
