First I smell something fishy here! I don't know what it is yet. But I smell something! I am willing to bet that this so-called car dealer has never told you which bank they got your loan approved at. Dave do you know to whom you will be making your payments to? I bet you don't know the name of the bank. This car dealer might have done what is called "Taking a shot gun" to your credit report. What this means is that they might have sent your credit info to MANY DIFFERENT banks to try to get you approved for the LOWEST interest rate they can find, But have you sign a contract that has a MUCH HIGHER interest rate, The difference is sent to the car dealer. Call it "BACKEND GROSS" if you want Dave! Say you sign at 12% and dealer gets your car laon bought at 8%. The difference, 4% is sent to the car dealer. If I were you I would find out just how many banks your credit info was sent to. Jay Carlson Is this above TRUE? What makes me think that the above is true is that you still have a "TEMP TAG" If your car deal was a done deal Dave, you might have already gotten a REAL TAG! In other words, Your car loan maybe has NEVER been APPROVED! You might have this "Over Priced" Truck in your driveway for a few more days and have to return it like others might have had to do! Ask Jay Carlson if he put you in a truck that has been used as a Yank? I also feel that you might have paid OVER STICKER price! Why was they so fast to not make sure you have a REAL MSRP? All NEW CARS and TRUCKS are to have a MSRP on them so buyers are not paying OVER the sticker price, IT's the LAW am I right Jay Carlson? Jay Carlson don't we call this the Monroney LAW that was past in 1958! Dave if your truck had, I say HAD a MSRP price of say $23,000 and you paid $24,500 are you going to be upset? Many car dealers remove the MSRP's and use this as a ploy to get car buyers to pay OVER STICKER for the truck. Fast way to increase their PROFIT! Your USED TRUCK does not have a owners manual or a MSRP more than likly because it might be a truck that has been sold MANY TIMES and rolled back to the car dealer many times. So much for that "NEW CAR SMELL" Dave. You might have paid to enjoy that "NEW CAR SMELL" But I bet you never got it. Maybe they have a F&I person that has no CLUE as to what the hell he or she is doing. Or maybe they have put you in what many call a "YANK" or a SPOT DELIVERY" a few weeks go buy and they have you come back to the sceen of the crime, OOPS! I mean SLIME and have you re-contract at a MUCH HIGHER interest rate. MORE PROFIT for the dealer! I called Jay Carlson up, and let him know that I have plans to make sure that a few big shots who are in control of CSI at Chrysler/Dodge get to read your Rip Off Report. I also feel that you will not get a CSI survey becuase your trucks VIN numbers might have aready been sent to Chrysler/Dodge on a RDR card many days a go under a different buyer's name. Ask Jay Carlson if this is true. OK Jay Carlson I am also asking after the car buyer finds the name of the lender, to request a copy of the credit app that you guys sent to the bank. I want the buyers to get the copy from the bank. I do NOT want then to get a copy from you or your dealership! Dave when you get a copy of the credit application FROM THE BANK, look for untrue info or FALSE info that is NOT in your hand writting. If you find what I say is true can YOU say FRAUD? I feel that there might be some FALSE info on the credit app that someone else wrote in on the buyer's credit app behind their backs. If what I feel is true, can WE ALL say BANKING FRAUD? Jay Carlson If banking fraud comes out of the woods on this car deal, I will see to it that your state banking department gets to read this Rip Off Repeort. Jay Carlson this will soon be read by many, try way over 5,000,000 hits a day, sometimes as many as 12,000,000 hits a day Jay Carlson. You have time to make this all better for the car buyer! Jay Carlson why don't you ask your F&I people to "Buy the rate DOWN" for the buyer? Also note to the buyer: Dave if you do not get what is called a CSI Survey from Chrysler/Dodge asking you questions as to how you were treated when you bought your used, OOP'S I mean new truck in the weeks to come, I want you to post it so I know that you did not get this CSI survey. I need to know if you do not get it. Jay Carlson the ball is NOW in your hands! Let's play ball!

Went to McCombs Dodge last week to look at a Caravan for my son in law. Spoke with a salesman and picked one out. Asked them for a price, they wouldn't quote me a price until I brought in my son in law, said they had to run his credit. The sales manager came by to say hello and I asked him for a price. Said he didn't have the figures. Called the next morning to get a price on the Caravan and was told we don't give figures over the phone. Said fine, went to Gunn Dodge in San Antonio. Was a pleasure doing business with them. McCombs called me a week later to find out what happened. McCombs couldn't even give me a price on a vehicle. They quote a price on one, in their ad, but it was long gone. Talk about bait and switch.
