Reflections on the Lake Apartments Slumlord forced us to live in moldy flood damaged cockroach invested apartment columbus , Ohio

We have been living in the apartment since July 12th 2010 Our moving day. We were settled in on July 15th 2010. On July 16th 2010 our apartment was heavly flooded in our kitchen/dinning room and our bathroom/laundry area. The place was also invested with ants and german cockroaches and bed bugs. Our apartment manger did nothing about the flood. He did not pay for any cleaning repairs. He has a poorly trained spanish speaking male come use a snake on our plumbing system and told us the entire apartment flooded because the pipe that leads out to the parking lot under ground was backed up. Our neighbor in 5715 A also was flooded. There was large amounts of sewage all over my kitchen , all over everything i owned because i moved all the boxes that were not unpacked into the dinning room before the flood happend. The flood damaged carpets having been pillig away leaving large tears in the carpet. Underneath the carpets is large amounts of black mold as you can see in the pictures. The aparmtent manager ignored all my calls and never did anything about the flood. there is now mold growing all over this apartment. The only thing they have done to stop it was paint over it. We had a raccoon crawl thru our ceilings and urniated inside our bathroom ceiling and it soaked thru the ceiling onto the floors and they did not repair any of it. We still have cockroach infestations and ants infesting our apartment that the landlord ignores our calls.
This is also a very dangerous place to live. There are gunshots fired all day long from the poor selection of tenats the landlord and the apartment manger allows to live here. What is worse out of this situation, i have a disabled child living with me and he has developed asthma from living here. He has missed 40 days of school due to chest colds , chest infections , allergies , among other infections from living here. Our landlord only wants our money and wants nothing to do with repairing this place. My lease is up in September and due to the high costs of utlility bills, the rent , the cost of me trying to get rid of the mold and cockroaches I am too broke to move and they want 500$ to give me a new apartment or I am to stay in this one if I want to avoid the 500$. I cannot live here due to my child getting sick and do not know what to do cause i am disabled also and i only make 1000.00 a month. This place needs to be condemend until they get the black mold, and urine and cockroach problems under control.
