Regency Real Estate And Auction Company - Eddie Pauley Beware of auctioneer. Didn't provide receipts for all items sold or return what there were no sale receipt for. Bluefield Virginia
The owner picked up things from our house we were consigning for auction. They said they'd let us know the date of sale but didn't. Sometime after the sale we got receipts of items they sold (auctioned) for us in the mail with a contract to sign. They produced only 17 receipts for 25 items they got. Also, one of receipts was for something not ours. I protested for two months in phone calls and email.
The items not accounted for were antique or collectible. I wanted to know the amount each sold for or to get those things back. He played dumb about, but knew exactly what I was asking. He produced ONE of the eight unaccounted for items & offered a ridiculously small amount of money. Tired of it all, I gave in, feeling like I received "hush money".
I think he knew the value of and kept for himself our better consignments. Since then I've seen at their auctions what I'll call a "mystery bidder" whose things are carried off to the auctioneer's own office area. The auction goes on, nobody notices.
