Complaint Review: REMORACLEANING.COM - Internet Internet

I first want to make clear that what happened between me and remora cleaning had nothing to do with their services.

Next I want to state that our issues have been resolved. We have corrected the issues that we had regarding our business dealings, positively, and I hope that this would not effect someones decision on wether or not to use them for business services they have to offer. This was never about their services. It had to do with misunderstanding between business between my company and them and I am not happy that this post can not simply be removed now.

I made a payment to Howard Sander (www.iwebcrafter.com) on the 7th of August 2012 via paypal for $240.00. (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_pay-inv&id=INV2-6WLP-L2WJ-ZY82-8KJ6). This was the full amount agreed initially for the design and construction of a website. We agreed this would be for the site design, with me providing images, logos and writing content, and him putting it all together using rapidweaver. One specific point was that he would provide me the site files to upload myself, so that I would be able to make changes to the site subsequently. 

Howard then came back to me as work was progressing, and asked for an additional payment of $100, saying that the site was more work than he had estimated. Well, that was not agreed and the site was taking a long time with work being done sporadically, however I decided to agree to this in order to get things done. I clearly stipulated that this was dependent on site completion within a deadline, and getting it up and running, with me uploading it.

On the 13th of October 2012, Howard messaged me asking for immediate payment of the additional $100. The site was not complete, with changes needed to the testimonials section, and I did not have any of the site files. A draft version of the site was published. As we had agreed payment on completion of the site I refused, re-iterating that payment would be made on completion. Howard then made an unauthorised access to my hosting account (I had provided him the login to upload the site in the first place), and deleted the whole site, without my permission. Bear in mind I had already made a payment to him for $240 for working on the site, as mentioned above. I then republished the site the following morning in draft form using a backup. As I do not have the rapidweaver files, I am unable to edit or update the site and it remains incomplete. 

I have emailed Howard about the false accusations made here, but he will not give an answer to specific questions. He mentions that everything he says can be proven via email, but this is incorrect - i've shown the email chain to a lawyer, who tells me Howard is in breach of contract, and I was right not to make any further payment until the work was complete. I have told Howard repeatedly that if he works on the site and completes it, up until this point, that I will still make that payment to him; but he no longer seems interested. 

Lastly, Howard Sander mentioned to me in an email that he is not a lawyer/attorney but has a good knowledge of the law, he also mentions being from Jacksonville. Perhaps his knowledge of the law could be from this?
