When I left 5 other tenants left complaining of the same issues I was having. I don't know who she is referring by my daughter we don't have one, must of been one of her OTHER un-happy tenants. Shes rents a garage to a guy who lives in it. The guy looks like a bum and very dangerous, walks around with a switch blade. Once I was back there taking the trash out and there was a vicious looking pit bull that looks like it can kill you and behind the guy in the garage was a guy in a table doing something next to a wall with a rifle. Too me that looks very strange and not like people who work at Warner bros producing movies etc. If I had family with kids I would not want to live there. If you are down on your luck and don't mind having a few beers with the local riff raffs this is your spot. Police where there like 5 times a month and one night there was a helicopter looking for someone back there in the alley where they all hang out. Never herd of moving called sneaking out lol. This gives you a taste of how she sees her tenants as slaves that must bend to her will or else move out and forget about your deposit. When you take $1200.00 from a person in the state of California that is criminal grand theft. Rena, Pay all your tenants their deposits, we all are together and are in communication with each other and are ready to take action in the courts unless you know the legal thing and return deposits that do not belong to you. You cant steal money just because you spent it and you are in the verge of financial ruin.

I overlooked some spotty credit and frequent changes of address in these particular tenants application. They had a young baby and I felt sorry for them, but also hoped that the charm they displayed to me was more indicative of their charactor. Lesson learned. The tenant below them moved out because of their inconsiderate and often explosive displays of anger at one another, despite the presence of their own children. They knew about the parking situation and accepted the apartment with street parking only. When they asked for a agarge space, one of my other tenants, as a favor to me, ceded his space. I changed their lease, he moved out, and then they changed their minds. I never charged them for the garage use. They broke their lease and snuck out of the apartment without telling me. It was left in a filthy condition with rotten food in the frig. The smell permeated the apartment. Their neighbors are mostly in the entertainment industry working at large companies or private post-production companies....very nice and hardworking people. Not a bunch fo drunks. They were not paying more than their neighbors of similar style and quality and the apartment was not remodeled for free. The damages I sustained by the breach of their lease are inestimate until I relet the apartment, but they already exceed the deposit. Lesson learned. Their choice to live irresponsibly and their choice to distort the truth is their problem, but, unfortunately, became mine. Lesson learned.
