So I went to go "Pick up where I left off" on an Alienware laptop. Here are my issues...
The one I had before:
Brand new in box
i7 processor
765M NVIDIA graphics card
Windows 8
Completely new with factory settings
Worked perfectly.
The one I just received:
Pre used came in dirty laptop case
Charger did not charge laptop
i5 processor
750M NVIDIA graphics card
Wasn't factory restored, still had all the of info, programs, settings, files, and everything the person had on it before me.
Included a wide array of Proxys, Spyware, Spam programs, saved porn tabs, logged in emails and notifications.
GRAPHICS CARD WAS BROKEN.
Intel HD graphics would only work.
Windows 7
and much more.
As you can see, if I am going to pick back up on the same contract to where I left off, I expect to have the same equipment I had before. I can understand I won't have the same laptop, but that doesn't excuse giving someone a laptop that is pre used, broken, not restored to factory settings, and had the last person who used it private info on it.
I called the store, they said to bring it in and they can fix it, but the thing is I am a computer savvy guy, you can't fix this in store. I would like a brand new one. Should I call customer service?

Spoke to a very nice lady named Treeva, she was very humble and helpful. My situation was escalated to the district manager of the store I was in. Waiting for a phone call.
I would like to make a disclaimer, even though these reports on other stores are here, my experience with the staff at rent a center in Frederick was very helpful. They were on point with customer service, very kind, and were a great conversation. I just have a problem with the laptop, not the employees. We are all people here.
