i rented a tv from them a few yrs ago, my company missed up my paycheck so i called them and asked them to pick up there tv and hold it for 2 weeks till i got my check fixed they agreed i went in to get my tv in 1 week not even the full 2 they have told me they would hold it, they had rented it out that morning to someone else so i asked for another tv of the same type, brand and condition they said yes not a problem but because it wasnt the exact tv they would not honor the life time reinstatement in other words the 11 months i paid for it (only had 3 payments left) was gone i had to start over. so much for truth and honosty they have neither...

Would you rent to own a wall unit AND an HDTV from RENT-A-CENTER?! You would be better off buying a 25" TV from somewhere else, then saving up money to outright BUY the TV you want. You were only 6 months into the wall unit and 2 months into the HDTV; I am guessing you had a quite a LONG time to go to pay either one off. You should have just given them back when you moved, it would have solved this whole problem.

As you can tell the inside informantion u received in the rebuttle is brain washed by rent a center. i also am an ex employee. they handled your situation incorrectly as usual. you would not have got your same merchandise back but they should have explanined what life-time reinstatements mean when you returned the merchandise. like ive said you get brained washed and everything is about the bottom line with this comapany. there are many things they could have done for you. your best advise from me would be not to rent from them you could save enough money in 2 months and buy new merchadise somewhere else and not have to put up with the bs from employees who have been taught to get the money or merchadise one way or the other good luck to you

i understand your concern about the customer service call, but why bash the reinstatement did you really expect them to keep the tv and bigscreen wall in the store until you decided to come back? they will find one of same age and condition as yours. but all you did was state it was b.s. without explanation. pointless.
