Based on rebate advertisement, Imade a 12mo leaseat Promontory Pt Apts in Austin, TX, in June 2010. In Sept/Oct I contacted them by email on their website and phone (leaving vcmail) asking about my rebate. I was told they had invoiced Promontory Pt and awaiting approval to pay (verifying I'd paid my first 3mo on time) and I should receive it shortly. About a month later, I left another vcmail asking status and the reply I received was they had done their part and to talk to the apt manager. I asked the rental office and after several calls was told that since property management had changed it could take awhile since it wasn't a priority. It is now almost 7months to the date and I have received nothing, but moved in here on good faith that rentmoney.com would fulfill their obligation to pay the $150 rebate. I left another vcmail for them today 1/8 and sent another email via their website. I don't really care about the logistics they want to give me... they advertised a rebate, I fulfilled my end of the agreement and I told them I expect my rebate before the end of January 2011. IF I receive the rebate as I demanded, I will come back to this report and advise they made it right. IF NOT, I will report that also.
