I placed an order with them on their web site on September 26 2013. I also sent in my frames on the same day. I tracked the shipping status of my frames and saw that they were delivered on time.

Even though their web site said that they would contact me with status of the work, I was never contacted. Therefore, after 1 week, I called them using all of the numbers listed on their site. Every call went to voice mail. I started to get nervous about my expensive frame that I had sent., so I did a whois search on the owners of the domain, called that number listed. I called Stephanie Bealing, and was given a new number to try to get some information.

I did reach someone!  They had a difficult time finding my frames that were there for 1 week, but did find them eventually. They told me that they had my order and it would go out in a week.

After not hearing them again for a week, I called again, only to be told that they hadn't started work on them yet. I asked them what the problem was, and they didn't sound like they knew how to answer me. I said that they should just send them back to my return address. They said that they would call me back. After they called back, they asked me (almost begged me) to give them another chance, and promised that they would have it done and back to me in the next two days. That they would even pay for next day shipping. I relented and said "fine".

Then they called me back again and said that they would just ship them back to me since they would not honor the price that their web site had listed. I asked them why they could not honor the price, and what would the actual price be for the lenses that I had picked out. They told me it would cost double what they originally quoted me. After that, I realized that I had truly made a mistake with dealing with them.

I received a tracking number from them, and noticed that they sent the frames back to the wrong address (my billing, rather than my shipping).

After trading emails with the owner of Replacement Lens Express, I have determined that they are just a web business, with no actual location. They have a fancy and very professional looking web site, and just use local optical labs to do the actual work. Apparently, they have been doing this for a while.

I have never received a refund, and have given these people ample time to do so, so I will be filing a fraud complaint against them, to all the authorities, including their merchant services account.

I have the original invoice and mailing label which shows the plainville address. Changing your address and then lieing about it is foolish. The internet has achives of the web site with the old address on it.

Unfoartunately, this customer is not correct. We do have a physical location in Connecticut, however, it is not the Plainville address which this customer states. He must be confusing us with another company. We are located in East Hartford and we have about 35 employees. In addition, we always offer prompt refunds for merchandise returns and exchanges. I am sorry that this customer has confused us with someone else.
