Haha. This is a good one. Like others on here, I got scammed. This is how it happened...

Guy was outside, italian. Mint and/or brand new black SUV, maybe a Ford explorer, didn't really look. Anyways, he was outside while I was at work. I'm pretty big into nice clothing, esspecailly jackets. A co-worker went outside for a smoke and came back. He got approached by an italian man who claimed he was on his way back to Italy, and needed to get rid of three jackets. Taxes apparently are too high when bringing them back home. I go outside to take a look at them and he greeted me very nicely, he was good at what he did.

Explains his situation and we start talking. He shows me the jackets, they were very nice. I fell in love with one of them specifically. Told him I'd give him 150 for just that one. He told me no and that he was lossing too much money and that if he sold any he would only sell them all together. Finally I told him I had 180. And that if he wanted to sell them he had to take it or tell me now no so I could get back to work. He said fine, which kind of triggered an alarm in my head. But, I really did like the jacket so I still did it... Got all three for 180.

After work I took one of the womans jackets over to a store in the mall to compare quality. Looked around at the leathers and a lady was also looking, we started talking and she was looking for a leather, she looked at the jacket and I started explaining how I got them and how I didn't know if they were legit. She said shes owned hundreds of leathers and they were deffinetly armani knock offs. But oddly she said she still really liked it, and actually offered to buy it off me for 120! I was kinda shocked and asked her why she would want a knock off if that's really what it was. And she said just because it's a knock off doesn't mean it's not a good deal...

Well, she bought it. So i'm out 60 bucks and got two fake jackets. Which truley are nice, knock-offs or not. Yeah he was a scammer but if you really think about it. If you were to go buy a leather for 60$ at walmart... You'd be getting scammed too now wouldn't you?

Besides the point, unless you really like the jackets personally and get a REALLY good deal on them. Don't buy them. Period.

I SAW A SCAM LIKE THIS ON TV WHERE MEMBERS OF UKRAINIAN OR RUSSIAN ORGANIZED CRIME WOULD IMPORT DESIGNER EMBLEMS FROM ONE PLACE IN CHINA AND THE BASIC PURSES, ETC. AND THEN THEY WOULD RENT A WAREHOUSE SOMEWHERE IN NEW YORK AND ASSEMBLE THE GOODS -- PUT THE FAKE DESIGNED LOGOS ON THE PURSES, ETC. AND SELL THEM TO THE UNINFORMED AS THE REAL DEAL WHEN THEY WERE JUST CHEAPLY CONSTRUCTED FAKES. A DESIGNER PURSE THAT COSTS MAYBE $5 TO ASSEMBLE COMPLETE WITH PARTS FOR $500-$100 AND MAYBE MORE....COUNTERFEIT SCAM. I WONDER IF THIS GUY IS REALLY ITALIAN OR FROM ONE OF THOSE EAST EUROPEAN GANGS. JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY. I WONDER HOW MUCH IT COST HIM FOR EACH ONE OF THOSE LEATHER JACKETS IF HE COULD LET YOU HAVE ALL THREE OF THEM FOR $120 AND STILL MADE A PROFIT! MAYBE HE STOLE THEM????? THIS IS A NEW VARIATION OF AN OLD CLOTHES BOOSTING SCHEME...
