Resorts International Marketing - Vacation Weeks This company works in cahoots with Timeshare sales people and thenwill not perform or even return calls, e-mails, etc. ripoff Pompano Beach Florida
We bought 4 weeks and received 4 bonus weeks $87,500 at Mayan Palace (Mexico)in 2004. We were also given 8 extra weeks just for the first year as they knew we wanted the rental income they espoused.Our sales agent recommended Resort International Marketing so we went with them for $299 one time fee. Since receiving the contract we have never heard a word from them. We have made numerous calls, e-mails,etc., to no avail.
A few months previously we bought a week with Shell Vacation Club and were told to go with Resorts Intl Mktg., with no other choice, for renting. Unfortunately, we had not owned that timeshare long enough to know that we had been scammed when we purchased the Mayan Palace weeks and signed up with them again.
With no action on either I began contacting Shell and Mayan Palace officials. Shell Vacation Club investigated and returned every cent that we had paid them: $37,500 pur. price, the maintenance fees and the $499 that had gone to Resorts Intl. Mktg. Shell agreed, evidently, that there was collusion and did not want me to file a report to the Justice Dept.
My next RipOff report will be about Mayan Palace as I cannot get any response from them. My hat is off to Shell Vacation Club.
