Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Bob Allard, slick sales guy owner, has ZERO technical skills. He professor to know everything about compensation software design and brags about how he has penned sales pitch articles for HR mags. He actually knows close to nothing and relys on his Croatian partners, who don't really speak English.

The resulting product (built by slave labor in Crotia) is a boilerplate software "tool" that is not the custom fit that Bob promised and has little relevance for our firm. He refused to provide us any refund, as he and his partners had allegedly invested many hours to get the waste of time software up and running.

Use a real firm for your software solutions. Avoid Retention Engine!!!

Simple and Anonymous Slander I Encourage You Too Ignore

#2Consumer Comment

I don't have a personal relationship with Bob but my company (which I will gladly name in a private message if contacted and asked) has worked with Retention Engine and the experience was a positive one. The anonymous "complaints" filed in the above thread are surely motivated by personal, and not business, reasons - and also have little if any basis in fact. I appreciate the purpose behind sites like RipoffReport.com. Giving people the ability to anonymously slander upstanding business people without first providing their identity, however, completely negates the objectiveness of this service. It is akin to writing on the wall of a bathroom stall. The fact that this site can rank incredibly high in Google for searches on individual's names makes it all the more dangerous and harmful to honest, hard-working professionals. Anyone with a penchant for internet mischief or a personal axe to grind is given the ability to seriously impact a person's livelihood - and there are better ways to conduct these sorts of online "watchdog" practices. Here's hoping ROR makes some changes to their model in the very near future. It's rare that I am openly critical of "better business" related efforts, but this is just... irresponsible. Why hire someone for programming when you get a boat ride

Sign up as a client with Extension Engine and you will get the runaround from Bob Allard. he'll nod yes to any idea, classic yes man, and latch onto someone else's comments and take them as his own. Best benefit to doing business with Bob is that he also has "a boat that our clients like to use when vacationing with us on the Adriatic Sea in the summertime... " Better bet- just call your travel agent and avoid this crook.

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, July 29, 2004

RetentionEngine has delivered many solutions in our short existence, but none to a client named Pete in Cambridge. In fact, none to any person named Pete, nor to any companies in Cambridge. We do in fact have a development center in Split, Croatia, but our team there is paid well. Feel free to call my company for any additional information, but this person's comments are clearly baseless.
