Richardson's Refining Stole my gold! Wichita Kansas

I sent my scrap gold, bench sweepings, and buffing materials to Richardson's Refining in October of 2012. On their website, they promise 24-28 hour payouts on scrap gold, silver, and platinum. I even recieved a direct mail marketing piece from the company stating their "wonderful" and "honest" business practices.
I sent in several thousand dollars worth of material, and waited for about a week for some sort of response. After receiving no information regarding the receipt of my materials, I decided to contact Richardson's. I was given the runaround, with Leslie Richardson giving me excuse after excuse as to why my gold was not yet assayed or processed.
I received a PARTIAL payment, about 30% of what was due, about two weeks after I sent my materials in. I was told the remainder would be payed in full after the assay was finished. So, we are three weks in and my materials are not even processed.
Well, after waiting SEVERAL weeks, sending several emails, and several unreturned phone calls, I told Mr Richardson that I would be contacting a lawyer. That, finally, garnered a response. He then proceeded to tell me he would pay the remainder of the balance the first week of May. The second week of May, again after several unanswered phone calls and emails, I received a check for HALF the balance! So, this was the THIRD time I was promised payment, and payment was not received.
This is now the first week of July, and Richardsons Refining still owes me $1000.00.
There is now no response from Richardsons Refining through email, phone, or written letter.
After research, I found out that Leslie A. Richardson was the man behind Consolidated Refining, a company that I have previously had numerous problems with and has lawsuits against it at the time of my writing this complaint. This man, and his company, is a con artist and a thief. This was the second time he has taken my money, just under a different guise.
Stay away, by all means, from Leslie A. Richardson and Richardon's refining.

Mr Richardson finally sent me a check for the remaining balance, however this was after paying a lawyer to collect on my behalf. I would certainly not do business with this company again, nor would I make any recommendations to any other business looking to solicit their services as a refinery. I was shocked that he decided to pay at all, and I am saddened that it took legal action to elicit a response. However, he made right on the payment and, as far as I am concerned, our business is finished.
