To All Who Have an ear to hear what I am saying,

I had a dispute about my cingularwirelles bill. Cingular sent the bill to collection. I had changed over to another wireless company, but I still had a final bill from cingular which they said was $130.00 however I did send them $30.00 about 2 weeks after if that long they had sent it over to collection. Spoke to one of their representatives who asked me to verify my checking account number so me like a fool did not knowing he did not have a copy of my checking account. I told him that I needed a itemized bill stating what I owe he told me I needed to contat cingular and that it might cost me to have an itemized bill sent to me.

I told him that I will give them $50.00 next week and $50.00 in another two weeks he said okay. but that was not the case. He had drafted my checking acount for the full amount without my authorization. He told his supervisor that he told me to have the money in the bank by the end of the month. It was 11/29/2004 when I had spoke to him. He lied and if they recorded the conversation then his superviser would have known what was said. on the letter addressed to me is states that unless you notify their office within 30 days after receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of this debt or any portion thereof, this office will assume this debt is valid.

If you notify this office in writing within 30 days from receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of this debt or any portion thereof this office will obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of a judgement and mail you a copy of such judgement or verification. If you request this office in writing within 30 days after receiving this notice this office will provide you with the name and address of the original creditor if diffrent from the current creditor. I did not have the oppertunity to pay within the 90 days nor did I have the oppertunity to dispute this payment amount.

I received a notice from them on 11/27/2004. Who is protecting the people. How can companies just get away with something like this? There should be Law to protect people like me against collection agencies.
