It is common knowledge and can be very easily verified, that the dentist is able to provide the patient with the amount that he will need to contribute for a treatment to the penny!!! In the case of the slightest doubts, a simple phone call to the insurance company will give/verify the EXACT amount that needs to be paid. This is clearly the dentists responsibility since he/she is the one who knows the amount he/she charges for each treatment. If for any reason the dentist is not willing to do that, he/she informs the patient of the charges and asks him to do the phone call himself. (which, of course, is not my case.)
As already mentioned in my first report, apart from the amount that I was called to contribute for each filling, and which was double as initially estimated, I was charged for some digital photos which were not necessary for the treatment, but as Dr Bruce explained later, were taken in order to educate me!!! When I complained about this arbitrary and unacceptable charge, instead of clearing it, she offered to give me a 50% discount !!!
What is amazing, is that after all the above, she repeatedly refused to correct the bill and sent it to a collection agency!!!
As far as my unresponsiveness, which she claims, I suggest she checks her emails to refresh her memory.

Dear Mr. Rassias,
On many occasions since November 2008 when we last saw you, we tried to explain the details of your account based on the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) provided by your insurance company. We also provided you with copies of said EOB's, which stated exactly the amount of your annual deductible and the copays you owed us for your dental treatment. Since you were consistently unresponsive and refused to take responsibility for your portion (as stated by insurance), we were forced to submit your account to a collection agency. Please check with you insurance company again to confirm that we only charged the amounts that your insurance allowed us to. Thank you.
