You can go to any photographer and get head shots made for $100. If you wish to make a reel, it might cost you a little more but then you can take the reel and headshots and submit them to casting agents listed online. How you get into the casting agents office takes a little creativity. With Rita Powers, you are just going to get an $85 dollar job for one day. Plus you pay him his 15% commission and transportation out of your own pocket. $12 for the bridge to NY and $5 extra for the bridge to the Bronx, not counting parking garage costs. When all is said and done, you make maybe $3 an hour or less. His acting classes are not bad because he has a professional acting coach come in but don't expect any big roles. If you dont believe me, ask him what big actors he has represented. Ask Glen Vincent and Rita Powers what big actors he has represented and check out his school online in NYC.

Total waste of my money. Made believe she saw interest in me and my girl, just to get my money. Wish I knew about her earlier. She seemed a bit buzzed during the class I took a while back. Will not repeat!

Took an acting class with Casting Director Rita Powers last year, it was a waste of my time and money. I learned absolutely nothing and should have taken a class with someone who is actually someone in the industry. Mostly new people were there that did not know any better, but who a I to say. I think she only casts extra's and a few Bollywood films.
I did not spend that much money, but thats not the point. She looked as though she had no interest in being there or helping us in any way. next time I put my money on a real casting director that has real TV and film credits. Tons of them out there from actors connect and other places.
Just a lot of BS thrown your way.

This is Rita Powers.
I am writing this rebuttal as I am confused as to why my name is on this rip-off report. $85.00 for extra work is more than some NY TV shows pay for non union extras.
The production in this thread is paying overtime as well. All talent have been paid in a timely manor .
